I think Williams will be good, he’s shown flashes. He’s the youngest player in the league ,and his rookie #’s similar to kahwi’s. He studies film and has a strong work ethic dude already guarding other teams best wings and got high praise from lebron ,pg ,booker & kahwi they all gave dude praise and were impressed.once he gradually expands his range he’ll be a 17-21 ppg 2 way wing

I'm finding it hard to see future star with pwill. I'm seeing more marvin williams than I am kawhi leonard. It was risky taking him 4th and early on these were the reasons why

But he is still young and has some years to develop. I also think his game is yet another of our players hurting due to lack of great pg play. When we have pgs constantly missing cutters and guys running the lane etc. The mechanics are there with him I just fear the offensive game won't be elite enough to justify taking him 4th.
The same could be said about Jaylen Brown (matter fact a lot of people did say this) and Leonard during and after their rookie seasons.

Patrick Williams is a work in progress. The risk is there, but the reward is there too. Haliburton is 1 player that makes sense in hindsight, but even he fell to 12. And the Bulls were still trying to evaluate what Coby White would be for this team.

Marvin Williams
Paul George
Kawhi Leonard
Jaylen Brown
Patrick Williams

Time will tell, but looking at each of their rookie numbers, he's on the same pace that each were in at this time, we'll have to see how much better Pat looks next season, hopefully alongside a better PG. I also would like for Donovan to utilize him more with initiating some offense, either bringing it up or from the high post... opposed to just having him stand in the corner. The shyt is dumb as fukk. He's one of the best athletes in the NBA and a lot of times, he's just standing in a corner. But that would be different with a legit PG who would spread the ball around more and get guys better shots.

Pat is going to be good, he's already shown more skills that Marvin Williams ever did

My only worries is that Pat seems to be deferring way too much. I get that he isnt a brash dude but he cant be sitting in the corner and taking 4 shyts a game. I hope he isnt a timid Snell like player by nature and that he just doesnt wanna step on toes since he is a rookie but Donovan should be letting him know that it is ok for him to assert himself....he is the future and shouldn't made to feel like a low level role player in training

Earlier this year, he looked much looser, was doing things off the dribble, showed he could make high level passes with his off hand which is something even many vets cant do it

Zach and Billy need to make sure Pat is involved....why are not seeing any Zach/Pat pick n rolls? Zach needs to work with him bc Zach needs him to take that next step in order for his own potential to fully unlock

Donovan's offense and sets seem too basic at times.....lot of it is just not having a PG on the team

And AK majorly fukked up but not having a true PG. I know they wanted to see what Coby could do but to have no plan B just fukks up everyone's development. That was retarded as hell imo

Is it worth to throw the bag to Dinwiddie next year?

Can we get Corey Joseph off waivers?

I don't think a PG will fix P Will's aggressiveness issues, that'll get him off ball touches but if he's going to be a superstar he needs to have confidence enough to create his own shot, which he's shown the ability to do. Him getting cuts and running off pin downs isn't how he should want to play anyway with his midrange and floater focused game. He should be handling the ball himself to create those looks.

Yea he is bring used like a role player in training which I don't like. He is going to have learn to create off dribble which like you said is there in flashes. Theres no reason he cant be a more dynamic Deng with handles by age 22. Needs to drive more and get to line. Even jimmy did that from the start when he had no shot or handle

I'm still playing the long game. The point is getting the Bulls brand back to being respectability. No one here expecting being a contender in next 5 years. Win now means no more 28 win season and playing lottery scratch offs. Most fans and FO know it's going to be 3 years til we see the glow up

We're not winning a chip with Zach and Vuc as the main guys, being a consistent playoff squad is next step...then make moves to be an upper echelon team.

Lol ...yeah alright ...I'll check back in once we see how the Free Agency scratch offs treat this team this summer

:francis: We just used our most premium assets outside of Williams to do just that at the deadline...

All Bulls fans, let's huddle by a teepee with a Cavs so I can pontificate about your wack ass team:

Ok, the issue you guys are having is you're doing two things at one time. You're going with vets and rooks at the same time. You guy are going to lose either White or PWill in the long run because you have to maximize Zach's & Yuk prime.

Lose a prime asset for short term results that result in less than champion aspirations. Sorry nikkas, try again :mjlit:

Nah, vets and rookies can be done well if you build an identity and have a flexible FO like Miami and Brooklyn. Our FO is unproven tho.

I personally think we jumped the gun, and probably should've waited a year or 2, but I get it. I really think Bates will be that good and I would've rather sold assets to give us a better shot at drafting him.
