That’s not how the Supreme Court works :why:

There’s more than one judge :heh:

The Supreme Court's 6-3 ruling last year, powered by its six conservative justices, blocked Biden's plan to cancel $430 billion in student loan debt.
Meaning she was one of the 3 that didn't block Biden's plan.

you have no idea what you're talking about

There's 9 supreme court judges, majority vote wins. Most of the judges are Republicans.

What is she suppose to do??

:what:

Ketanji Brown Jackson was promoted to Black people as the person to make changes/difference while in the Supreme Court, but now you nikkas are making excuses:

If you're retarded enough to believe she was gonna be the only judge on the Supreme Court then that's your problem.

Some of us actually know how the government functions.

Edit: and you didn't read any of these articles because they don't say what you're claiming.

"While her potential confirmation may not alter the balance of opinion on the U.S. Supreme Court in the short term, her professional experience, particularly as a judge with a significant background as a public defender, and her personal experience as a Black woman in the United States will shape how she approaches cases before the court and how both majority and minority opinions will be framed and argued."

This is a quote from one of those articles.

For the illiterate:
In an unusual line in a brief order Wednesday, the court said that it “expects” that the 8th US Circuit Court of Appeals, which is considering the challenge to the plan, “will render its decision with appropriate dispatch” – signaling that it wants the legal proceedings to play out in the lower court before it steps in on its emergency docket.

You aren't even participating in an honest conversation here. She's one of 9 Supreme court justices. She doesn't have some type of super Black woman powers.

This article isn't saying anything about her saving Black people, what the fukk are you talking about?

:what:

"She is unlikely to write for the majority in weighty cases early on. But Jackson, 51, is poised to serve at least three decades, if she reaches the age of Justice Stephen Breyer, 83, whom she would succeed. She may serve long enough to see the court return to an even keel and may even play a role as it does. (Jackson would become the second youngest justice; Justice Amy Coney Barrett is 50.)"

This quote from the article clearly says she's unlikely to make a difference for the next few decades until the conservative judges start dying off. The article is explaining how she's qualified for the job, not that she'd make miracles happen.

The Supreme Court at times had a conservative majority, it now has a Republican agenda majority which is different as they strike down cases that have decades of precedence:

Roe vs. Wade - Passed in 1973 (recently overruled)
Affirmative Action - Passed in 1978 (recently overruled)
Chevron - Passed in 1984 (recently overruled)
Presidential Immunity (new)

Most judges speak through their long legal written opinions at the final conclusion of court cases. Most people never bother to read them unless a few lines from their opinion goes viral on social media.

KBJ is only one person. This logic reminds me of someone here saying years ago that Thurgood Marshall didn't do anything for black people while on the Supreme Court. Which is outrageous considering a Supreme Court Justice is just one person and the court was majority conservative his entire tenure.

But his written opinions in key cases paved the way and helped formulate an ideology for up and coming liberal lawyers/judges to model after.
You arguing with intellectually dishonest people, he didn't deserve this reply.

Federalist society is a relatively new conservative thought that have specifically taken off within the last 20 years. while Republicans have had control of the chambers throughout history, the older conservatives weren't textualist and would work across the aisle ideologically.
