Producers - Dame Grease and Swizz Beatz.

Diplomats: Rappers - Cam'Ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, JR Writer, 40 Cal, Hell Rell, Un Casa.
Producers - Just Blaze, Heatmakerz, Kanye West.

Rocafella: Rappers - Jay Z, Memphis Bleek, State Property, Dipset, Kanye West, MOP.
Producers - mainly Just Blaze, Bink, Kanye West.

D Block: Rappers - The Lox, Jae Hood, 357.
Producers - Vinny Idol, Poobs, Liveson, Swizz Beatz.

G Unit: Rappers - 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, The Game.
Producers - Dr. Dre, Red Spyda, Eminem, random variety of producers for them. Too many to name.



All of these Artists and producers are very East Coast based and oriented. Name the southern counterparts that came before them. Name the southern styles they jacked. And don't name some damn random collabs on an album either. I'm talkin overall styles.

The south didn't "take over" hip hop until about 2006. As of now, no region in particular runs rap, but besides J.Cole, Future & Young Thug none of the hottest artist in rap come from the south.
I actually live in the south now and southern artist are nowhere near as big as they were when I first moved here.

There's this artist from the same state as you, he's kinda popular at the moment, maybe you've heard of Travis $cott

if he was compared to the biggest draws in the south in that regard as far as "show money"...he wouldn't even make a top 10 list...you think this dude with his one song, which overshadows his name as the actual draw is getting 30-40k a show like Gotti, Boosie, Thugga, Migos, Gates, Jeezy, Juicy J, Dolph etc.

Fetty Wap is probably the only East Coast rapper that can get "show money" on par with them.
