Its actually pretty good. if you like that weird vampire-esque taking over the world type of business.how was it brehs? i got burned by tyrant...im not going into a show blind again

Fevre Dream isnt science fiction, IIts historical fiction horroreh the book was kind of good. what's this fevre dream about though @Adam3000

i'm about get some of these books so i can have something to read on my trip to australia
Its a unique take on the vampire myth, if I say what the mythology is though it would spoil the best chapter about 1/3rd through the book.
The plot centers around the steam boat river culture of the 1800s and also some slave trade elements. A hardcore river captain who is down on his luck gets an offer from a mysterious man to finance the best steam boat ever built and take trips down the Mississippi river no questions asked. Beyond that, it gets into spoilers.
Its a pretty good book, 8/10 overall but easily a 10/10 take on vampire mythology

nah, i meant i was looking at all his other books and he has a large number of science fiction books. i thought he was mostly a fantasy writer.

Oh, yeah
He is acclaimed in sci-fi, horror, and fantasy. Also good at historical fiction.
I was like is that the bald nikka from House of Cards? 
They slapped a wig on him and everythang. 
I am not into vampires or blood sucking creatures, but I thought the episode was good.
Now the parts I had issues with.

Another issue I have when it relates to any movie/show that has people who play scientists. Now they suit up double, triple layers when they get on the plane. But when they see the coffin, they all like "open it!!
No gloves, no masks nothing. 
They don't have double, triple security around that thing.
But whatever,
I will continue to watch.

Went ahead and read book spoilers since I wont make it through the season. Pretty cool mythology overall. Cool enough to make me give the show one more chance.
I thought it was very meh too...yet I'm still going to watch
