That's why Kevin Hart is doing so well right now. he's financing his own shyt and making a HUGE profit. Because of that Studios are taking notice and he's getting more mainstream acceptance.

With all that said it's easier to pull this type of shyt off with Comedies or Horror films. Financing a Drama and making a profit is actually pretty tough.

Spike...It's not even technically an investment it's a donation and if you donate a certain amount you get something in return. That courtside seat at the Knicks game stuff is just for the bidders at the highest level. I haven't checked but others probably get signed posters, DVDs, and some other shyt related to the project.

I don't mean little straight to dvd hood movies either, I mean full blown blockbuster movies. There's more than enough black writers, directors, actors, and millionaires to get this shyt done.

I think "Old Boy" is privately funded and Spike jumped on the project when Will Smith & Spielberg dropped out i believe. no one will give him green light on "Inside Man 2". He been complaining about that for years...
