This season is beginning to feel like McCarthy's last season. Waiting for the Axe to fall.

Now I don't think Gutey is going to be fired, yet, but he will in 2025 because Mark Murphy is going to mandatory retire... unless he steps down, in which his replacement will get rid of Gutey most likely with someone they want as GM.

But Joe Barry will get released this year, when it no longer matters, but also LaFluer as well... because like McCarthy, he never adjusted his game year after year.
At this point you just look at the schedule and forecast when its going to happen.

Now it doesn't look like we can beat ANYBODY, but theres doesn't appea ro be a moment in which it can happen. Losing to CHI week 18 sure but at that point regular season is literally over.

Quay Walker is our best player. He doesnt even belong on this team.
He's takes big shots. The misses look bad but other than Charles Woodson and pre-2015 Clay Matthews I can't think of a more instinctive defensive player we've had in recent years. It's almost like he is being coached differently and by different people.

But yeah, enough is enough. I haven't heard Van Ness name called all year. I've noticed a LOT less playing 10 yards off on third downs but frankly this is a defense filled to the brim with first rounders that just straight up does NOT make plays.

But this is a team that JUST drafted Josh Myers and Runyan, an OSU-Michigan dumb and dumber, and STILL employs Royce Newman. Imagine us running the line with Creed Humphrey instead of Myers/

This year has helped to clarify something. Remember how every game it seemed like most plays no one but Devante was open even though Aaron could throw it into any window available? It's the same shyt again but Love's not as accurate (not a knock on him- who is?). That has me taking those criticisms we used to put on the receivers a lot and put it squarely on scheme and LaFleur. The offense can magically start working in rhythm in hurry-up? When plays aren't being called in? We've seen that before...

What's funny is we have a 3rd round OL in Sean Ryan from 2 years ago and he hasn't sniffed the field. With how horrid our o-line is and our high picked guy can't even see the field

Quay is a good player, but it's kinda sad that him and Gary are the only high level guys we got on our defense now.. Jaire being injured and having a down year so I put both above him
