I picked Super Bowl because that's just what I do, but honestly, felt like a 7/8/9 win team was possible. Now? How do we get to 5? Seriously. We SHOULD beat Carolina. Not sure about Denver or Chicago anymore. Gonna be a long struggle we're gonna have to endure this year lol.
Jordan was BAD tonight. The first two picks, what the hell was he thinking. And the 3rd, just fukking run. I wish I coulda seen how much room he had, cause it looked like there was plenty there. Anyways, I wanna talk about Christian Watson and Matt LaFleur a bit. Watson one of them dudes that completely looks the part, but put him on the field and it just doesn't translate. One of them deep shots he had a small ass corner on him. The last play same thing. Just go fukking get the ball. TRY to make a play. He does neither. Might as well throw them balls to Reed. Atleast he's physical and will attempt to go get the damn ball.
And MLF? Yeah, I'm about on board with most everyone else. I was a long holdout, but my God our offense is atrocious. And yes, I understand we're young, and we have a sloth at running back, and an OLine that looks clueless more than half the time, but it feels like he just doesn't know how to scheme anybody open anymore. There have been flashes in the past couple years that made me giddy, but where has that been this year? I feel like there's something going on where he's like tipping plays. I feel like every time we try something 'tricky' this year, it's snuffed out before it even starts. And the route combos tonight just looked downright sad. The first Love pick: take the LB that he threw the ball directly to out of the play, and the guy he was throwing to still wasn't open. The 2nd, it looked like post/slant flats or something? 4 man route I think with each outside guy running a short post and the other two guys running flats under them. They literally had the flats bottled, and both posts doubled with yet another safety lurking. Nowhere for Jordan to throw the ball, so he forces it in, tipped, pick. Not being afraid of the run and getting to the QB with 4 makes all that possible, but still, no creativity at all. Aaron Jones obviously changes some of that, but it's not fair to put that much responsibility on his shoulders.
I don't know, shyt is just frustrating. Defense played ok for the most part, but losing Quay kills us. He's been our best player this year on either side. Hopefully it's not serious. Savage, whatever. One thing that is always entertaining, is seeing where Keisean is, cause he's gonna do something stupid lol. He's like a guided missle: point him at a guy and let him run in a straight line at that guy, and he's ok. If he has to try and do any covering, all bets are off lol. Man was out there just flailing at Davante on a play near the goalline. I was dying laughing.
Buckle up ladies and gents, it's gonna be a long season lol.
2-3, 2nd in the NFC North (LMAO), next up: BYE. Atleast we can't lose. After that, Sun, Oct 22nd @ Denver
