Found a Toonami stream from Adult Swim's channel. IDK what they're streaming right now, but I've seen Attack on Titan, One Piece, FLCL, etc. on there. Stick around long enough and I'm sure they'll be streaming some Dragonball too.

I miss that feeling, y'all. :mjcry:

I feel like most of us are living off the nostalgia.

I love the DB universe, I have a soft spot for it and what it did for the anime world.

For its time, it was great but there's better things you can watch. I feel the same way about Gundam Wing
:yeshrug:

edit: I love gundam, I FKed with DB and all that but Gundam was the anime that set me up.

Damn shame we couldn't get certain Anime up here(Canada) in the 90/2000s.

Summer time visits to the US were different back in the day, I would have killed to have cartoon network's Toonami
:wow:

That's exactly what it is, DBZ was dope and inspired a lot of shows but the elements that made it great has been done better by the shows that came after.

Oda is a DBZ fan and One Piece's existence can be attributed to dbz so I hope you negging OP too because he indirectly shytting on One Piece.

What kind of logic is this? So because Oda is a DBZ fan critiquing the show means One Piece is also being critiqued :why:

dbz stans dont like new shyt because the newer anime tend to have better worldbuilding and writing, better powersets that are way more thought out and higher quality animation.

had a dbz stan say Hunter X Hunter was trash because Nen was too complicated :dead: nah dummy u just cant process anything beyond yelling and auras

Breh I've said this as a reason why One Piece is better than DBZ but I've had people use Goku's physique as a counter argument :deadrose:

I noticed the similarities of disdain that people have for DBZ, in the same way they talk down on the movie ScarFace.

“ScarFace is overrated. All these “rappers” always have a poster of that movie in their MTV Cribs episodes. I used to like that movie until they made it their cultural icon. There are way better gangster movies out there. Why does the ‘urban’ community love it so much?”

Just an observation. :mjpls:

:beli:What era we talking about son. Certainly not mine. Donald Glover had a whole bit about what it was like to be a Black nerd in the early mid-2000’s. Let’s not white wash history now and minimize the struggle of our Black nerd ancestors.
I thought I responded to this post already? :patrice:

I don’t know about that weirdo Glover (he’s overrated and pretentious IMO. Typical “new black”) but like I said, DBZ was like our ScarFace: it was a cross cultural phenomenon.

I’m not white washing anything. Nerds, hood brehs, musicians etc would all talk about it. :yeshrug:
