Id say my top 3 were

“A. she was a hooah, B. she hit me, and C. that wasn't my kid she was carrying.”

Season 4's response about Tracy was even better:
Tony: "You think Ralph...is you know...weird with women?"
Sil: "I don't know...he beat one to death over...."
[Looks at Patsy]
Sil: "What was it again?"

S3e4 I'm on the scene where the psych calls Tony's house after she gets raped and asks Carmella to tell Tony her knee got hurt in a car accident.

When her husband heard the perps name in the hospital and said it was Italian, I was like... no way, Tony ain't that evil, come on now :childplease:

But the way this dude is acting after Carmella gives him the message......

Now the psych just saw that her rapist is employee of the month, what the hell :laff:

Then the scene immediately cuts to Tony's sister trying to play the Law and Order theme on her guitar :laff:

what do you consider the top 10 Sopranos episodes?
In no particular order, but I guess the order in which these immediately came to mind might say something:

Walk Like a Man & The Ride (S6A & 6B)

I've said it before but Chris is my favorite character, and his relationship with Tony my favorite arc in the show. Both of these episodes are about the deterioration of their relationship, but in The Ride they're still willing to hold on to whatever is left of it. In WLAM it's just gone. The flashback to Chris telling Tony about Ade is where it broke.

Something interesting I noticed on my latest rewatch is that almost every Chris-centric episode is also an AJ episode, and they will cut between the two a lot. Definitely intentional and says a lot. When AJ self-destructs Tony is reduced to either whimpering and calling him baby or forcing opportunity after opportunity onto him. When Chris self destructs it keeps chipping away at Tony's love and respect for him, until the endpoint.

Knight in White Satin Armor & Funhouse (s2)

S2 is my favorite season and everything great about Sopranos is in these two. From the villains to male friendships to family to nightmares and psychology etc. This is also when I started watching the Sopranos so after this I had to wait for season 3 which made me go back to this season a lot.

Whitecaps (s4)

Brutal fukking stuff but such a masterclass by Edie Falco and James. There's just so much visceral anger and pain.

"What do they have that I don't?"
"All you do is fukking bytch and moan and bytch and moan, fukk it!"

University (S4)

The low point of depravity for everyone involved. Ralphie to the extreme, but it highlights now and will continue to highlight what lowlevels ALL of them are. A few seasons later Sylvio doesn't even remember why Ralphie did this. Paulie is angry because he's jealous of Ralph, and only that. Tony is legit upset but doesn't break until Ralph kills his horse, and damn nears ends up beating Gloria to death himself a few episodes later.

Scary ass episode but very well done.

Made in America (final)

I've always loved the episode, but love it more on every rewatch. Am fully convinced that this is the end for Tony.

Few more that come to mind:

College (S1)
Army of One (final episode S3)
D-Girl (S2)

These last three can easily change with others depending on the time of day, but I think the first 7 are pretty solid favorites for me.

Still watching s3e5

So brehs, there were some things that happened early on that I didn't really understand.

For instance, is the restaurant cook whose restaurant Tony had burned down, an actual part of the organization?

And why did Tony have his restaurant burned down in the first place?

Why did Tony let this dude get away with pulling the shotty on him? And then at his mother's funeral, he threatened to go inside and tell everybody what Tony did.

Why ain't Tony just ending this dude?

Also, can somebody explain to me why Tony became cool with his uncle again in s2 after he tried to have him killed in s1?

It seemed like he was gonna do a hit on his uncle until he got arrested. And now that he's out of prison, they're back to being cool again.

Also, his uncle keeps saying "I'm still the boss of this family."

Why does he think he's still the boss?
