- The HBO documentary James Gandolfini: Tribute to a Friend (2013) includes an anecdote by Steve Schirripa about the shooting of the scene where Tony picks Bobby up at Junior's house. When they were shooting Tony's reaction to Bobby's hunting outfit, Schirripa surprised Gandolfini by entering the kitchen wearing a strap-on dildo. Tony's response and laughter, pointing at Bobby and then doubling over the sink, is the take of Gandolfini seeing the strap-on.
Can we talk about how woefully stupid the FBI was in the series. The only time they remotely did anything worth a damn was when they played the tapes of Green Grove for Tony. All the people they ended up using as snitches were either discovered and whacked, killed themselves or died of natural causes. The Wire had the much better police.
I can’t even hate, them goofies provided top tier fukkery in the S3 opener.
You’d think they would at the very least try to change up their tactics after the way the Ade situation went down, but nope.

The Johnny Sac scenes feel like they’re ripped straight out of an early 2000s Aronofsky film. Just rough to watch.
Season 5 was the most well shot of the series, and also the most depressing.
