One of my favorite funny moments is when Furio went to get the money from Matt and Sean. They sitting around getting high in their underwear and someone is knocking like the police. Sean looks through the peephole and that visual of Furio through it was :russ: they give him Tony’s cut.

Furio: Give me one thousand dollars :birdman: then he starts telling the other guy that they’re fags in Italian because they have all their underwear out :laff:
Furio before the p*ssy distracted him:demonic:

My goddamn self. Shout out to my real Africans
I think the point of it was to show how different Italians and the Italian Mafia are to their Italian-American equivalents. Carmela liked him because he was so different to every other guy in her social circle, even though he was a gangster too.

Scenes like this show how little Italian-Americans understand the history of Italy and their cultural heritage. He has to explain the north/south divide to them

The other important scene is at an ending of an episode, I can't remember which one. It shows Furio cooking his own meal fresh and contrasts with Tony nuking last night's leftovers in the microwave. It gives the feeling that Furio is a totally different type of guy, because he's a genuine Italian he has a much more sophisticated lifestyle than Italian-Americans do. He also probably wouldn't treat Carmela as callously as Tony did; even if he would end up cheating he'd do it in a discreet way and not fukk anything with a pulse

Good post, or his house party scene where he was doing traditional Italian dancing with Carmella, Meadow and the other wives while everyone else was smoking cigars, drinking and talking business. Or the genuine affection he had for his parents and his dutifulness.

That doesnt matter. He was always gonna be killed..its how they blamed it on non mafia matters as a cover up. Lol.

Meadow should of been built up.to expose Tony...
Meadow was always Livia Soprano on the low; exactly why she flocked to her........Meadow like to mope ,bytch and complain about the smallest hings but in her head she already had the story mapped out 3 times, locked in on her gain; just like Livia

Sil was Consigliere, not Underboss.
Bacala was UB, when he dies its Paulie
Which season are you referring to? When tony was on his "death bed" Sil was the acting boss... I understand that the underboss takes over when boss dies, and I know what a consigliere is but under the realm of the Soprano crew(show), Sil was ALWAYS second in command. There was never a time where paulie was thought of in that realm. He was more of an enforcer.

Also when puzzy came back from his "vacation" Tony told paulie specifically in season 2, that both he & sil were #2 and everyone else had to answer to them. But that goes back to my originally point which you quoted. Tony had a higher level of respect for Sil than anyone else on the show. Sil respected him but didn't fear him and kiss his ass. And for the record Sil was more ruthless than Tony. He was just selective when he showed it...

Tony says it himself to Chris, season 4 the ep when Chris is high when he goes to a meeting with him ( furio looks at him weird) T tells him he is the future of the family, T says " Sil is Consigliere, and he will stay on as such but he ain't no spring chicken. But there's no reason to be giving him an attitude" Episode Blue Comet they try to take out the Management of the family...but of course when T gets shot, Sil is Acting Boss, he's number 2 and the boss is outta commisson
Bacala was made UB after he does that hit, when he gets taken out
Paulie gets the bump
Why you think he's at the meeting with Butch last ep bout squashing the shyt, who else would T pull up at that point?

Yeah you're talking about something on the other side of the coin. You're referring to one instance, you keep mentioning the semantics of Bacala and the #2 and how it relates to the family.

But throughout the totality of the show you can't point to one time where it where it wasn't spoken covertly AND/OR overtly that sil was the conscience and battery behind Tony and had he(tony)
died at ANY point throughout the show, the family would've voted him(SIL) in but we can agree to disagree.....:hubie:

Man, I can't...
Tony really was a prick
Just watching the ep with Chrissy's intervention, Furio gets back from Naples,
He goes to pick up T, tells Carmella he will wait in the car, he starts crying couple atears , when he sees T coming, he gets out to open the door for him, he wipes his eyes. T asks him "what's with u?"
Furio tells him he's sad for his father (he just died) T says u gotta get over it :dame:
Next scene, this prick is in Melfis office crying over his horse
:mjcry:
