“The organization is not motivated by saving ‘X’ amount of dollars,” Kupchak said. “We were more concerned with making a basketball deal.”
“I think the expression would be a ‘salary dump.’ That’s not what this organization will do. If we could get picks or players that we felt good about going forward, then we would have done that. But we had opportunities to go below the threshold and we wouldn’t do it.”
Because those games were on the road. Role players hardly ever show up on the road, but at home, some nights they might look like stars. How do these fools lose to the Bucks and get humiliated by the Wolves, then turn around and hammer Phoenix?
If they lose that Jazz game, yes. The lottery is all that matters though. If they don't win it and get the first pick for Embiid, it doesn't matter.Because those games were on the road. Role players hardly ever show up on the road, but at home, some nights they might look like stars.
Still think we are going to end up 4th?
We could have traded Kaman, Hill etc at the deadline, but good ole Mitch didn't want too.

Embiid is the only franchise pillar. I'm alright with trading the pick for a star like Irving or Love if they don't get #1. I know i'm in the minority with that thinking though.
trade them for what? How can you sit here and say we could of traded them if you dont even know what the other teams were offering? this isnt 2k.We could have traded Kaman, Hill etc at the deadline, but good ole Mitch didn't want too.
We still in 7th and just ensured yall aint getting a top 5 pick
