If another team got the top pick those years you'll come up with another theory as to why they got it. I can't take conspiracy theorists like you seriously. The league does not even handle the draft lottery, an independent law firm does it, and there are 14 team representatives present at the draw. Why would they all put themselves at risk by rigging it?

Like vetoing an agreed upon trade between two teams? The only time in league history.:mjpls:

:patrice: I don't know brehs, I'm torn between Embiid & Wiggins. Embiid would be the defensive anchor we need badly, but Wiggins would upgrade our perimeter defense too. I think Wiggins is gonna be much better in the pro's, he has to play structued ball with Bill Self in Kansas, and has showed that he can take over games too. And with Kobe, it seems almost too tempting to get the player that will replace Kobe when he retires. But, those post moves, footwork, and the way Embiid moves is something else. Almost like its a poor man's Hakeem-Jordan draft in a way. :skip:
:beli: But, knowing our recent luck, watch it end up with us getting Randle instead.

If both players are on equal grounds talent wise, always draft the great big man over the great wing or great pg.

This team is ass defensively. They need a shot blocker/defensive presence in the paint something serious. Embiid without question as far as I'm concerned.

:patrice: That's always been true, but the league has been transitioning to perimeter play for a long minute. With all the zones and with the way the league has been de-emphasizing big man play, drafting Wiggins as a player that could potentially go 1 on 1 with Durant in the Western Conference for a decade, and with his length and athleticism to go up against Bron, as the very best players in today's game are perimeter players. Plus, a Kobe-Wiggins 1-2 punch is almost too good to pass up. But, somehow getting either player would be a huge for the franchise.

I have a feeling Pau is going to stay, and with the right coach, as long as we can find a good pick n roll and help defender that can mask Pau on defense like Odom did, (maybe Bosh?) to go along with Kobe-Wiggins and get a spot up shooter that can actually shoot at the 1 position, I can see it working. But, a Kobe-Embiid pick n roll, and Embiid taking the scoring load off of Kobe and dominating the paint is real intriguing. Won't not be mad at all if we draft either of them.

Who wouldn't want to live in L.A tho? That's like me saying I would love a house on the beach in Hawaii. Only difference is Embiid can live there in the offseason.

I think Embiid gives them much more flexibility with free agents and future starting lineups. Doesn't make them reliant on bringing Pau back either. If they don't get Embiid they HAVE to re-sign Gasol because there aren't any other options for big men unless they somehow convince Bosh to sign.

Farmar
Kobe
Ariza
Melo
Embiid

or

Farmar
Kobe
Wiggins
Hill
Gasol

I'll take the top option.

I'm not, Embiid would provide the best long term impact and we've seen Kareem work wonders with a raw big man once. We got enough perimeter players for right now. Embiid/Hill would be a great defensive duo until we sign Love and make a Finals push. We gotta find a new coach brehs who we got in mind? I want a young, defensive oriented head coach with a nice coaching staff that calls creative plays.

The one positive of the season has been the emergence of all these perimeter guys, almost all of which are athletic and young. They should be set on the wings for a while. Adding some worthwhile bigs, particularly ones who can block shots needs to be the emphasis.

And yeah, Jordan Farmar is better overall than Kendall Marshall brehs:heh:

Marshall can pass, yes, but he's not a threat offensively forreal. Going scoreless in 5 of our last 8 games:scusthov:

He's averaging 2.9 pts and 9.9 assts in 22.9 mpg over the last 10 games. I dont know whether to be :ohlawd: or :rudy: because the points are HORRIBLE but the assists are CRAZY in those few minutes..............:dead:

Yeah that's been a positive development. We gotta get rid of f'ucktoni and get a young coach that can grow with this new team going forward. Get a real threat in the paint and shyt will get real, real fast. Embiid can grow under Kareem and maybe do work with Hakeem and have the paint sowed up for the next decade, to me Embiid/Love with Hill off the bench, a rested Kobe, and a slew of perimeter talents is enough to make one more Finals run. Even with how bad this front office has fukked up there's still a way out.

Lionel Hollins, Stan Van Gundy, Jeff Van Gundy, George Karl, Jerry Sloan.

Those are my top 5 coaches available that actually care about defense and have won in this league.

I don't want that cocksucker Karl anywhere near this team. Stan would be my preferred choice out of this bunch. :ehh:

Also doubt Sloan will coach again.
