I’m not responding anything you just said besides the first sentence because anyone with experience would take into account these “variables.” It’s called being a fukking adult. But apparently you needed me to walk you through that. Those “variables” are literally the concept of the American dream and upward mobility and a healthy life. Anyone not taking that into account has no business participating in the conversation.

Dude describing that salary like people making that are freshman in college doing fukk else.

Nah, you were wrong, entered the conversation without proper context, and now want to justify your shyt posting.

Again, there are plenty of single or married without children couples making that and more in places like Manhattan, Bay Area, Santa Monica, etc. That's what makes these areas highly desirable. Upwardly mobile, well put together, single folks with high incomes.

But, you got it. Wish you all the best.

I make more than the high end middle class income in my state . My wife makes about the median income by herself

We live very comfortably, but with kids and daycare those costs add up

I don't live in NY but this doesn't make logical sense. What percentage of ppl make 400k in NY? Are the ones who don't living in poverty?
I’m pulling this number out of nowhere, but probably only 5% make that much money. $60k is closer to what the average person makes and I think if you’re making over 80k and get an apartment outside of Manhattan then you can live comfortably

The CPI index is up about 35% from 2015, 10 years ago, when I was 30. That to me, feels right. The money went about 30% further for me. I make a little more than I did 10 years ago, but not 35% more. Just basic shyt like $100 went way further around 2015/2016, even up until about 2021.

So imagining young families, with 10 year olds now, or teenagers, and I see where the pain is, in the economy.

One of my boys who is a baller, told me it's like $80 to go to McDonalds and get what everyone wants for his family of 4. So, if someone isn't making money, that's pain.
