US not going to war over Ukraine, which is not a NATO member. But best believe we'll do whatever is possible to turn this into a protracted nightmare for Russia. I just don't think you can achieve that when we're talking about 100k troops right on the border ready to attack. This is a home game for Russia, basically.

Russia's economy is fukked btw. Putin may be at his weakest point, which is why this is happening. Perhaps invading Ukraine is his way to get out of the economic issue. The country is going to be fukked by sanctions at which point he can blame the already sinking economy's status on America, and rally support from the people.

Ukraine should give up peaceful being as they used to be part of the Soviet Union. There’s not much the us can do anyway cause any direct attack on Russia is essentially world war 3.

At a minimum, this will be a proxy war for the US. Highly doubt any POTUS (Dem or Rethug) will join in unless Russia tries to pull a move beyond the Ukrainian borders or state sanctioned genocide

Thing is, we are not a dictatorship, so places are willing to ally with us and in return we get missle bases and embassies on their turf.

If Ukraine doesn't want to be part of a dictatorship, they shouldn't have to be.
