The world may be getting set up.Belarus/Wagner goes to war with Poland.Russia drops a big ass bomb on Kyiv.Nato intervenes.Perfect opportunity for China to rush Taiwan.Nato sending troops to all 3 fronts?

:mjlol: if this happened, then yes. Russia and Belarus and even China would get steamrolled by NATO if nukes is off the table.

Crazy that in 1 year these cats are approaching casualties on the scale of our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan combined over the decades.
"approaching"?

the US had around 7k dead in two 20 year wars...

Russia has lost almost 10 times that in less than 2 years

there's really no comparison

It crazy people still thinks it’s still early 2022 and the Russians are still incompetent.

-They’ve adapted their tactics
-The failed counteroffensive by Ukraine has caused doubts amongst NATO. They will probably never get that much equipment a one time ever again
-Mounting casualties from said offensive. Ukraine is building a cemetery larger than Arlington to honor the dead
-Zelenskyy continues to fire people in his defense cabinet because of corruption and making him look bad on the world stage

It’s fukk Russia and free Ukraine all day, but if you think this war ends with anything other than Russia keeping the majority of its current territory and then some with a one sided ceasefire than your kidding yourself

Look at the before and afters, absolutely crazy. Not to mention how many people were displaced, fleeing and struggling with no support system.

I always feel bad for the civilians no matter the conflict. Ukraine, Middle East, wherever.
Most people didn't ask for this and worked hard their whole life trying to build a better life so they can get by.

Like how tf you going to rebuild damage on that scale, this lifetime? They practically screwed over that country's entire current generation and probably the next few.

230,000 certificates requested in Russia for families of fallen veterans

Russia’s Ministry of Labour has requested 230,000 certificates for family members of deceased combat veterans and over 750,000 certificates for combat veterans, which is several times more than before (such documents are to certify that a person took part in combat – ed.).

Source:
Russian media outletVyorstka

Details: Journalists who examined documents on the state procurement portal discovered that Russia’s Labour Ministry has ordered 230,000 certificates for "family members of deceased war veterans, participants in the Great Patriotic War and combat veterans", as well as 757,305 combat veteran certificates, worth over RUB 79 million (US$817,411 – ed.) in total.

The procurement tender foresees that 200,000 certificates for family members of deceased soldiers will be distributed to Russia’s Defence Ministry and 30,000 to the Ministry of Social Protection. Moreover, the Defence Ministry plans to distribute 600,000 printed combatant certificates: 86,805 to the Ministry of Social Protection, 60,000 to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 10,000 to the National Guard, and 500,000 to the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities.

Quote from Vyorstka: "This is several times more than before. In May, the Labour Ministry ordered almost 100,000 certificates for combat veterans to be printed, and over 23,000 certificates for family members of the deceased.

Last summer, the Labour Ministry signed a contract for the printing of over 82,000 blank combat veteran certificates and nearly 6,000 certificates for family members of deceased soldiers."

More details: Vyorstka says that in total, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Labour has ordered 936,052 certificates for combat veterans. Since June 2023, certificates for family members of deceased soldiers have been issued to volunteers’ families as well as to the families of regular army soldiers.

Background: Information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18 September confirms that nearly 272,940 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine.

Russia's State Duma says it would eventually fight all post-Soviet states

Russia is going to ''restore'' the USSR

Russian State Duma deputy Evgeny Fedorov said that the terrorist country Russia intends to "restore" the Soviet Union by occupying neighboring countries. According to him, the post-Soviet countries allegedly "illegally" seceded from the USSR.

At the same time, the United Russia Party member said that Russia had already begun to "unite the USSR" by occupying part of Ukraine. Fedorov said this in an interview with Russian propaganda media.

The MP said that Russia would have to fight all the countries that used to be part of the USSR. At the same time, the politician considers the potential occupation of post-Soviet republics to be "a return to the Soviet Union."

"Sooner or later, all former republics will conflict or fight with Russia: it's a matter of theory. Some of them will fight later like Belarus. Georgia has already been at war, as has Ukraine. This fully applies to Armenia as well," Fedorov said.

In addition, the politician said that modern Russia is the Soviet Union. He also said that the aggressor country intends to "restore the territorial integrity of the USSR."

"Russia is replacing the Soviet Union. We are the Soviet Union. Accordingly, we, as the owners of the territory of the Soviet Union, have the right to restore the territorial integrity of the Soviet Union, which we did in Donetsk, Luhansk, Crimea, etc.", the MP said.

As a reminder, Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov is dreaming of capturing Georgia and Armenia. In his opinion, this is necessary to prevent NATO military bases from appearing in these countries.

By the way, even before Russia's full-scale invasion, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Russia plans to restore the order of things that existed during the Soviet era. However, as the statesman emphasized, this option is unacceptable.
I mean this is obvious, the Duma didn't even need to say it.

I'm not talking about American casualties. I'm talking about the Middle East casualties.

Russia and Ukraine have killed each other at a rate multiple times faster than what we did out in the Middle East pissed about terrorism.

No one knows with certainty how many people have been killed and wounded in Iraq since the 2003 United States invasion. However, we know that between 280,771-315,190 have died from direct war related violence caused by the U.S., its allies, the Iraqi military and police, and opposition forces from the time of the invasion through March 2023. The violent deaths of Iraqi civilians have occurred through aerial bombing, shelling, gunshots, suicide attacks, and fires started by bombing. Many civilians have also been injured.
That was over the span of two decades.

Russia-Ukraine did all that in one year to each other, maybe more. @bnew

That said, not even surprising as Germany didn't stop after killing nearly 30 million Russians back in World War 2, and wounded another 20 million.
Literally half the county's population at the time were impacted by warfare.
They would've kept going and made that country extinct if weather didn't stop them.
In comparison, the atomic bombs killed a total of ~200k.

This is in line with their stated goals all along.

Read Aleksandr Dugin's Foundations of Geopolitics, particularly on Eurasianism. Putin himself and many in the government use him as a motivation for current policies. It's all out there for everyone to read, they just count on people not reading it.

Here is a machine translation on the relevant section. It's not a long read really.

Anti-"Atlanticism" and anti-Nato is a big part of this. Also, pretty openly fascist. Dugin has said the issue with Nazi Germany and Italy is that they weren't fascist enough.

I have no faith in NATO doing anything.

By the time NATO gets their ducks in a row to launch an attack or respond it will probably be too late.
lol.... you have no idea what you're talking about...

NATO nations have been getting steady shipments of updated arms and F-35's to upgrade their arsenal...

regular wargames coordinated between member states...

intelligence sharing etc.

you dont really keep up to date on whats going on

Yeah they got all weapons but to actually buck and do something is a lot harder to get done with their internal setup.
