This war is far from over, and I doubt that Ukraine will win when it's all said and done; Russia is currently using a very small contingent of their army (10%) and they may now actually increase this by many times over.

You guys need to remember it’s only special operations not a full war yet or else Russia wouldve invaded the way Iraq did from America.
Number of soldiers doesn't mean much when they arent organized and morale is low which seems to be the case of the Russians. They aren't only being outgunned, they are also being out strategized.

The big difference from what I've read and seen, the Ukrainians since 2014 switched their military tactics and strategy from the old Soviet top down model to the the American segmented model and it's paying dividends. The Russian military is too hierarchial and top heavy. All commands come from the top which results in a disconnect between the individuals constructing strategy and actual outcomes on the battlefield. Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are following an American model where individual units have their own operational hierarchy and it's puts decisions and also skin the game closer to the individuals actually on the ground. When you're a platoon leader for example, not only is your neck on the line but you also feel more camaraderie with your fellow soldiers which will lead to more of a desire to protect each other and increases morale. Meanwhile, bureaucrats who aren't really tied to the results on the ground lead the Russian army.

It will only get worse as institutional knowledge in the Russian army is wiped out as the Ukrainians are killing Russian generals left and right.

Theres a reason why they unsticked it. They was hoping it would get buried and folks in tlr wouldn't discuss it because now everyone is a military advisor.

Of course this will not be good for the region, no doubt about it, but what I'm getting at is how will it affect you specifically as an American, how will it affect your day-to-day life.?

Is the idea that Russia will invade other nations and eventually attack the US?:skip:

Then why even post it here? Why not higher learning?

Hilarious that months later people are still saying this kind of shyt. Has it occurred to you sir, that in 2022, having an endless supply of "soldiers" isn't actually the way to win a war and things like technology, intel, equipment, training and weaponry actually matter far far more?

And has it also occurred to you that what it says on paper in dictatorships is not the actual reality and those 2 million soldiers Russia supposedly has are probably mostly old, unfit, sick etc?

The inflation is not solely caused by this conflict, though it hasn't helped the covid stimulus (while needed) also impacted inflation, both are responsible.
