I don't even know what kind of advice I would give Putin at this point if I were an advisor of his. What the fukk do you tell him?

All of the moves Putin has left are somewhere between stupid and suicidal but lettuce go through the options that he no longer has first.

Putin can no longer:

1. Go back to Russia and claim to have cleared the Region of opposition. This robs him of claiming a "victory" of any kind.

2. Negotiate for land taken in exchange for washing machines or whatever. Ukraine is way past the point of negotiations and will not stop until all land is reclaimed. Putin fukked up.

3. Mobilize everything and everyone in the nation for war.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see what they pull out of storage but I'm fairly certain that we've seen the best they have to offer already. I would also like to see Putin try to conscript the metropolitan Muscovites. That shyt would be gold.

4. Surrender? And be like "Yo, I was just playing..."

I really don't know what plays he has left.

Putin has no good moves left and will likely be forced to the next step which is mobilization. The problem is that this would make the war real for white urban/city Russians who have largely avoided being sent to Ukraine. So far a lot of minorities and white country kids have been sent to die. Once kids in Moscow start going off to war you increase your odds of unrest, protests, etc. That being said it seems like Russian propaganda television is preparing the public for mobilization so it may be popular initially.

Key word being "initially" because mobilization cannot stop Ukraine at this point. The artillery advantages they have, alongside US-based intel information on Russian force movement, ensures that mobilization would result in a bunch of kids being blown to bits. Even if they manage to re-take some of the recent Ukrainian gains, it's clear they can't hold them. And winter is coming...

I think Putin is fukked. The hardliners in government will demand mobilization and when it fails they'll blame Putin for fukking it up. At which point maybe he dies, is killed, is replaced, etc. But whoever replaces him has no good options either. At some point they're gonna have to either threaten nukes or prepare the Russian people for a massive L. Nukes aren't gonna work so...

proper training would take at least six months.

on top of all the experienced generals and proper equipment he has loss.

His best bet is just to throw bodies at the Ukrainians and dwindle supplies as faster than the west can resupply them.
