after the fall of the USSR the US was the sole super power.
many in power asked "What good is winning the Cold War if we don't capitalize on it?"
so expanding NATO east happened despite promises not to and Russia's protests.

when Spain joined NATO in 1982 i'm sure the USSR was :scusthov: but that's about as far west as you can get so...

but then the US went full retard with it after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 for reasons i previously mentioned.

then East and West Germany reunited.
West Germany was NATO since the 50's, so the question is; now that Germany is united, will the entire nation be in NATO?

George H.W. Bush straight up asks Yeltsin if it was cool if united Germany cliqued up with NATO and Yeltsin says "Sure."

everyone on the US side of the room goes :ooh: :ohlawd: :noah: :ahh: so they ask again to make sure.

Yeltsin again says "Yes."

USSR side of the room goes :gucci: :dwillhuh: :hubie: :skip: :scust: :why:

after the Cold War NATO just got silly with it and let it mad former Soviet nations.
Russia was big mad but the US was the only big dikk on the block and hit em with the

Even Russia wouldn't say this. :mjlol:

I will say that Russia is usually pretty humble about their military inferiority to NATO countries and the US but they always state they have nukes as their trump cards. They do have ICBMs that can evade our missile intercept systems. The "hypersonic" weapons that you heard China recently acquired, Russia already had them and they can evade our intercept systems which is why the Pentagon was alarmed. But they don't have have the same "sophisticated" equipment as we do.

They the ones threatening to launch nuclear missiles, that says it all

The US relies too much on satellite and computer, it's book called cyber wars depicting modern warfare and the type role hackers will play, and china has the ability to hack our power grid right now and satellites

which would leave the US open for a nuclear strike

Russia is weak in the old way war, a modern fought from long distance they are prepared for and are a serious threat, which is why the US didn't issue the on fly zone over Russia, because they know Russia is serious and the war will escalate

I'm not saying its 100 percent they can destroy America, I'm just saying they are capable over it, and it's a possibility

Ridding the world of nuclear weapons should be the main objective from sane people

This is a good point. I worked with a guy who was an engineer with a well known defense contractor who actually worked on weapon systems. We were talking and he told me that he believed it was an issue our shyt is very tech oriented for the reason you stated. He was comparing an aircraft we had vs one the Russians had and I can't remember which models he was discussing. At least on the Russian side I think he was reference some Su- model and I can't remember what he mentioned on the American side. He was tell me that the Russian aircraft may not be a flying computer like our shyt but would still fly after being hit by some anti aircraft fire and was basically a flying tank. Some of our shyt can have problems because some obscure or complicated but relatively minor issue occured. Everything needed precision to work well basically.

definition of propaganda:

- The spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person.

- Ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause also : a public action having such an effect.

I get it. You want to be the Moses of information for this topic but you're a little torn on whether you want to be a shill or actually tell the truth. Now that the real face of Ukraine has been exposed you're going to take a neutral position and just speak the facts like you should have been doing from the beginning.

You were MSN and now you want to be AP.

Damn bozo.

I feel like letting those former Soviet states in drastically reduced nuclear proliferation. I don't see any problem with any of those nations wanting in on NATO, that's the only way they would stave off something like a Putin. I'm just tired of hearing that James Baker quote like it's some hot shyt. I don't think there's any legally binding document of such a promise made to the USSR and even then it would have been made with the USSR and its borders, but revolution came and that was that. Can't let every tantrum throwing tyrant have their way.

lettuce be crystal clear here.
i am absolutely not neutral.
fukk Putin all day where i'm at.
in this conflict, i am pro Ukrainian like the vast majority of people on...Earth?
and if NATO winds up getting involved then i will remain pro NATO as well.
i sincerely hope that Putin is removed from power and faces justice for his crimes.

and for the record, i've been posting about Ukraine since at least 2019.
i did a complete breakdown of the Ukrainian Orange revolution and it's how Russian corruption was at the heart of it.
i even made custom smilies for it...

Manafort Chapter

Meet Paul Manafort.
The year is 2004 and the place is Ukraine.

Paul gets hired by high ranking politicians all over the world.
His job is to make them appear palatable for US consumption.

If you happen to be a third world dictator with human rights violations but really wanted
to invest money in America, then Paul was who you called to clean yourself up.

In 2014, Victor Yanukovych; Ukraine's leader of the
Party of Regions needed an image overhaul so Paulie gets the call.
The Party of Regions was largely considered to be corrupt with ties
to organized crime, loyalty to Russia and looking away from the West.

Manafort was good at his job.
Some even say he was great and now was his time to shine.
Research was done via polling. Manafort found out what the people
wanted to hear and he knew how to get his message across.
One of the first things Manafort did was to make sure that anyone who
spoke on behalf of Yanukovych on TV wore makeup and designer suits.
Makes you wonder if he ever rocked that ostrich skin jacket to any parties in Ukraine...

Yanukovych like "Yo, Paulie...I can get with the Hugo Boss suits but wtf is up with your ostrich jacket?

"The American does not like how I dress! Can you believe that?"
"I think you look great, Victor. I don't know what he's talking about."
"But our boy Manafort says that monkey suit
is your ticket to victory so keep it clean and make sure your goons all get one too."

Meet Yulia Tymoshenko
full
and Viktor Yushchenko
full

These two pro-western Ukrainians ran against Yanukovych in 2004 and lost due to election
fraud so there was a second election. But something happened during the elections...

In the run up to the 2004 Election, Yushchenko suffered horrific
disfigurement after he was fed dioxin,
full

a chemical found in the herbicide Agent Orange while
eating dinner with the head of Ukraine's security service.

Quote - "When I arrived home and kissed my wife the first thing she said was, "Your lips taste metallic"

Yushenko survives. He and Yulia Tymoshenko go on to win the 2004 election in Ukraine.

Manafort's boy, Yanukovych lost this round but he wasn't done yet.
full

This is the beginning of a ten year relationship between Paul and Yanukovych.
full

full
Yushchenko and Tymoshenko continue to make
strides westward in hopes of joining the EU & NATO.
full

In the meantime, Manafort is busy re-branding
the pro-Russian mobsters for a comeback.
full

He's gonna repackage this turd and serve it back up for election.
full

to be continued...

just saying, i know a bit about the issues that everyone is just now hopping onto.

The first two tweets are about an attack near the Polish border, the other tweets are about an attck near Kyiv. :comeon:

fakkits like you should be banned from this thread, retard. :stopitslime:

And of course this illiterate Putinist halfwit @Skooby dapped this post. Motherfuxker is too stupid to check locations across a few tweets. :russ:

Hey smart guy, the last tweets were from an American guy confirming what happened to the foreign fighters he was with at the base near Poland BEFORE he was sent to the frontlines in Kiev.

""The base we came from was struck by rockets in the early morning hours. People we lived with for a couple days are confirmed dead."

But I'm too stupid to read locations across tweets and @Skooby is illiterate right? Get your reading comprehension game up. @Georgiamuscle look at ya mans you dapped now.
