Most of the country is physically in Asia, but most of the population lives in the European part of Russia. I don't know why some of these posters even think it's debatable.

But it pretty much is. There's a European end and an Asian end. The political center of Russia has always been in Europe, and as a result, they've always been mainly involved in European politics and European trade. It's definitely Europe 1a and Asia 1b when we talk about Russia as an entity.

To argue anything else is just for the sake of being oddly pedantic.

They are involved in eastern politics and their political center is in Eastern Europe because that is where their war borders are. Their main trades and exports are to their Asian neighbors in China. They export to China more than any other country in the world, including America.

He is 100% wrong because Russia is in Europe (regardless if only a portion) and has been a staple in European history and affairs for the past 300 years. More than half their population live in the portion of Russia that is on the European continent - so what the fukk are you talking about?
