Overall in the long run Russia would come out the loser. Besides Putin doesn't seem like they have anyone to hold things together. After Putin there is a high chance Russia collapses and end up joining the EU or even NATO itself.

So while were talking about what's specifically happening in this conflict. what do we think could deescalate and ultimately end this conflict?

Is it the removal of the existing Ukrainian government?
Is it a stalemate?
Ukraine ceding Donetsk and Luhansk formally to Russia?
Is it Putin getting clapped by his inner circle?

Ukranian military surrender
Pro Russian government
Neutrality in NATO and probably EU Ambitions.

I believe it was quoted before and during the war.

To be fair the MJ smileys, alone, make this board interesting.

Especially :mjpls: speaking of which why haven’t we seen any new ones related to this conflict?

The fact that Ukraine hasn't fallen is a huge loss for Russia.

ukraine is a big ass country second biggest in europe after russia land wise, Ukraine has 196,000 active troops and 900,000 reservists bigger army than the UK for example, also the 7th biggest population in all of europe. No country of that size with an army of that size would go down fast

Not really. It took almost a month for the US to take Iraq. I think people have Russia more hyped up in their minds and that set higher than normal expectations.

We weren't down the block from those guys. Logistically, it doesn't even make sense for us to be compared.
