Exactly. That's why I always when people bring up Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan when people question the US military power. Only reason all these wars post WWII dragged with no success is because neither side TRULY wants to take things to a point where nukes are being dropped.

No, that's not the "only reason". Failure to drop nukes had nothing to do with those wars dragging out, USA could have dropped a dozen nukes and the survivors still would have been anti-USA. We dropped more bombs on Cambodia than were dropped in all of WWII and it didn't make a fukking lick of difference. Once a side has decided to accept all levels of civilian casualties no matter what, what difference are more casualties going to make? There are many wars that can't be won with bombing.
