The united stated waged a 20 plus year war in the Middle East & Africa where multiple couple countries were destroyed with millions of lives lost but the world has forgotten about that .

OK. The US probably doesn't have a secret missile defense system. You happy? It's not reasonable to suspect that because of the article I linked. People who know the science and know the challenge say we're far from it. Read between the lines of the statement of the US military on the issue. A small number of missiles with simple countermeasures can be defended against. That does not describe the Russian arsenal. Don't be thick headed.
Also, the US military WOULD have a reason to declare its ability to defend against missiles. This is something they teach you in school...you announce your capabilities while keeping the technology secret so that countries don't try you. It's like putting an ADT security system sign in your front yard.
