He vetoed because the russian gave a better deal. He was pitching the two deals against each other. At first, he accepted, leading the Russians to give him more advantages, and then changed his mind That's why Putin hates him.

If he was the docile russian puppet you're claiming, he would've shut down the negotiation in 2010 when he came into power. Entertaining those negotiations for years is what led to his demise.

If he was the docile russian puppet you're saying, he would have never supported the adhesion of Ukraine in the EU.

It's a useless debate anyway. it doesn't matter anymore.

I dont think you fully understand how a puppet government actually works. :yeshrug:

He might have range but not time. You really think they would have enough time for that missile to get close enough to the east coast to do major damage? The US would turn into deion sanders with the quickness and intercept that

No it wouldn't. Hitting one missile with another missile is literally like trying to shoot a bullet with another bullet.

The other thing is...there are nuclear weapons that send up a single pod in the atmosphere, then open up with multiple projectiles to overwhelm any defense systems. There are also cruise missiles that can be launched via submarines and cruise under radar.

Long story short, there is no way to stop a nuclear attack from a country like Russia. That's actually a key part of the stability...no one being immune to getting hit...and both sides being able to fukk you up severely with a response if you do strike first.
