That's the thing. All this shows is who have the better propaganda machines. No one was showing war from the perspective of the Iraqi civilians even though hundreds of thousands died, or the Libyans, or the countless other places the west started a war.

If it was the US invading Ukraine all these people going on about the poor citizens there would having singing the praises of the US military, how it's the best in the world, and getting high off patriotism.
You remember how we left the Kurds in the dust? American power has its limits of swaying people.

American propaganda is good in part because are goals are different. Putin is going to kill a democratically elected president. We killed a a dude and his sons who brutally murdered his people.

Democratically elected that was handpicked?

1/3 of the country has been technically cut off since 2014.

No, the real democratically elected president was overthrown by CIA in 2014.

And Gaddaffi didn’t kill his people - he killed the same Islamists that ended up killing an American diplomat in the same country after they fell out with Americans.

Eat a dikk.

Where was the empathy for Libya?

War could’ve been avoided but he chose not to. People get killed in wars - it’s not a video game or Hollywood movie.

I’m indifferent. And I definitely didn’t tell them to poke the bear. They ran through the desert/camels of North Africa, to the desert of Syria and decided to poke the bear in Siberia. Not my cup of tea.

Sorry, luck ran out!

I'm not indifferent like you as I feel for the people of Ukraine.

However, you're right about the hypocrisy of some people here acting like this is the biggest tragedy in History since wwII. I mean kids are being bombed and killed by hunger in Yemen as we speak, and nobody cares.

Ain’t nobody talking about Gadaffi. I’m talking about Saddam and his sons.

You really going with the people of Ukraine who are now fighting Putin in the streets didn’t also not want his corrupt friend in power anymore?

Ok.

I know most of you think Ukraine is a small country. But it’s not. It’s one of the biggest countries in Europe with one of the largest population. And the country has a very educated population and capable military - not some shytty Arab military.

So, if Ukrainians really want to fight - Russian wouldn’t be as deep in Ukrainian territory like they’re right now. Heck, the Russians aren’t even using their true capabilities - just old stuffs and zero electronic warfare. The UK never achieved this type of swift success against tiny Northern Ireland. And in all NATO’s invasions against 3rd world countries and all the weapons in the world - they have never achieved this type of quick success.

So, that should tell you most Ukrainians aren’t trying to fight. Ukrainians fighting is fallacy because the turn of events doesn’t agree with that. Yes, there will be pockets of resistance just like in every population. But most Ukrainians aren’t fighting. Libya put up a better fight against NATO and they had only AK47 and pick-up trucks manned with machine guns.

Who said anything about it being a small country. I’m not pretending to be an expert on Russia or Ukraine.

And no country has every single person fight. The American Revolution was fought by a minority of the country.

You went a really long way to dodge a simple question? You really think the people fighting didn’t remove Putin’s friendly government on their own?

If you believe real protesters can capture well trained military officers and overthrow a government that was whisked away by Russian special forces to save his life - you’ll believe anything.

What do you mean by "deep" into Ukraine territory? Do you know how close the Belarus border is to Kiev?

You think they’re only in Kiev? They have captured most of the coastal cities as well and are everywhere.

How far it’s isn’t the issue - it’s their capital city and should be the most fortified. Tripoli is just on the coast of Libya and it’s closer to Malta (with NATO warships) than Kiev is to Belarus. And it took them weeks to capture the city.

Iranian students didn’t overthrow America’s puppet government and storm a guarded government facility?

I didn’t expect you to push American propaganda!:ehh:
