If most Americans could actually identify Ukraine and Russia on a map, then they could begin to understand why this is important.

I'm not sure what the exact rate is, but he says he's "AO" or Artillery. Gunmans Mate or something maybe? He arrived in Chicago about two hours ago. Shot me a couple of texts to let me know he'd made it and I told him I'd see him in ten weeks. He wanted to go Air Force but he was DQ'd by them before his ass could touch the chair. The recruiter took him next door to the Navy, and the rest is history. They got him in after a some paperwork and a waiver. I know he's good. Navy is a good choice all in all. He has a wife and three kids so it was time for him to make a move. Much respect to the brehs who make the sacrifice, but I'd much prefer he do Navy than Army or Marines. He also considered Coast Guard but his ASVAB wasn't high enough and they're even more selective than the AF.

Not on paper but CIA running ops there and we have Special Forces training their forces...

Ukraine falling would leave Poland vulnerable and we do trade with them and the European Union.

Also the Black Sea is an important waterway for many reasons. OIL and smuggling routes.
No treaty, no military alliance or they would have been there since the little green men years ago. And not on no covert shyt. Strategic partnership /= alliance

Prior to abdication of Nicholas II, Ukraine was controlled by Russian Empire, also some of the current territory controlled by Austria. Whatever strategic importance there is to Poland or EU will always be less significant to Russian interest there. They gone treat any incursion of NATO there as serious as US took USSR placing missiles in Cuba (which of course was done to counter US nuclears in Turkey).

It's all good for Washington to talk shyt. Here in Europe it's the middle of winter and the Russian gas pipelines run through the Ukraine.

Let this shyt pop off in May.

Ukraine is the current gf, US is the current bf (a coli simp) Russia is the ex boyfriend who did a few years in prison. They all just ran into each other after the club

So basically,

Ukraine = Yvette

USA = Jody

Russia = Rodney

elaborate

Understanding Ukraine's unique proximity to both western Europe and Russia is critical in beginning to understand why Ukraine is so important.

As it stands, most people can't point out shyt on a map or globe, and can't wrap their heads around why all these countries are constantly on American news.

AO?

Aviation Ordance aw that breh setup...AO EASILY have the best looking females in the fleet. EASILY. But he won't be surrounded by all cacs....AO were never known as c00ns EVER at my commands..very chill brehs...alot of brehs from down south in the Navy too.

Generally advancement rates are good.

It's a good job where it's enough work to where you feel pride as a man .

After Bootcamp he would probably get sent to Pensacola for A School...I think AO school is.like 3months but don't QUOTE me on that one.

Once in the fleet he has a ton of options ...Carrier probably the highest chance he'll goto a carrier.

From there he could get sent to Weapons division where he could be sent to Elevators(control the weapons elevators,) Flight Deck (flight deck. ). Gunner Mate is armory or he'll get put on the 50calibers.

AO was known as a cake job but they get respect...brehs cocky as shyt though.

He's gonna be walking around saying IF YOU AINT ORDNANCE YOU AINT shyt :mjlol:
It's generally a 12hr job at sea. Which is standard unless you have a shyt job ..(Nuclear,Boatswain Mate)

I'm not gonna pretend like I was a hotshot..but best advice I could give is

-STACK MONEY
-STACK MONEY
-DONT LET THE OLDER GUYS DISCOURAGE HIM..MAKE HIM HATE THE JOB. NOTHING SETS A SAILOR BACK QUICKER THAN A NEWBIE WHO ALRADY DECIDES HE WANTS OUT AND OUT NO EFFORT IN.

Navy is a lot of studying..tests..he gets to the fleet and gets qualified quickly his command will :obama:. He's married so the command will probably expect more of him..give him more opportunity to lead off jump.
