Finally reading the 1619 Project and Call Us What We Carry..

Any suggestions? I'm trying to be hip.
After reading the 1619 Project or The New Jim Crow I always recommend a shift - check out Carceral Capitalism by. Jackie Wang and Race for Profit by. Keeanga Yamahtta Taylor or Are Prison's Obsolete by. Angela Y. Davis.

Also: I did some of the research work for the book so if you have questions, feel free to DM me.

The book? I'll just say I assumed it was going to have a more radical overall outlook - but it involved a lot of people across a pretty broad ideological range, so this was more toward the best we could hope for.

Trying to find Miles Davis autobiography epub by Quincy Troupe but I can only find the one by Ian Carr. Any help?
It’s on Amazon if you wanna go that route. Epub, not so sure. Was looking for it then just broke down and bought it. Great read and much better than the John Szwed joint

Can't remember who suggested it or where they did in the forum, so I'll post about it here; I've finished Angela Saini's book on race science.

It's great. An entertaining structure that highlights efficiently the historical, intellectual and political continuity of race science throughout the last two centuries and juxtapose its tradition to its current manifestations. Also filled to the brim with direct contemporary expert accounts. And I think that it manages to remain fair to opposite perspectives without shying away from analyzing them, which is precious.

Now I kinda want to read her book on sexism in science :ehh:
