Set against the backdrop of China's Cultural Revolution, a secret military project sends signals into space to establish contact with aliens. Fam, are these books worth reading? Not only for someone who wants to understands Nigeria politics but also to draw lessons for other black countries?

Definitely worth reading. Iweala is one of the top technocrats. Not just in the African circles, but in the international scene. Per the bolded. Yes and no. There are some recommendations that are applicable to any Black nation e.g. a sovereign wealth fund, cleaning up government largesse etc. Some of her recommendations are more so relevant to Nigeria.

Reading We Were Eight Years in Power and it has me fuming wow.

I think this is designed as more of an introduction for younger readers but I still picked this up and read it recently

Included a lot of dialogue from the man himself that was captured by the historians of that time and preserved over the years. Much of it was new for me anyway, I enjoyed it.
