Its crazy if you go to Nigeria nowadays, most young people will respond in English to Igbo.

I personally have been relearning Igbo on my own with books and classes because my parents failed us
They thought that we would have a better chance to get ahead if they only spoke English to us when we came to America. So they only spoke Igbo to each other and English to us.

Its funny because I can remember my older siblings and I speaking Igbo as late as when I was 5 years old. My sister doesn't even remember Igbo at all.

Man... you can completely forgot an entire language if you dont use it.
