And this is the thing about you hood folks(the bolded). You assume we are stuck up, and we aren't as "black" as you. you assume we don't want to help


Besides, if we were to throw money in the hood, theres a good chance it would be for nothing. the hood needs to change mentally before we can invest in it.

Giving back is more than just money breh, but we're on the same wavelength. That's what I was getting at in that thread about Harry Belafonte. Cats are screaming that Jay-Z can do more, but can't tell me what exactly what he should be doing. Ironically, I was the only one who offered legitimate things could probably do. But LOL@just throwing money at every problem. Cats are out here saying things like starting black businesses. Jay-Z is black. Every business he starts is a black business. Cats want Jay-Z to just give cats in the hood random management positions when no businesses are sustainable in the hood. Ol' complain but not know why ass dudes. BUT, I do personally feel obligated to always donate my time and give back. That's just part of me, I couldn't imagine just turning away from people. It's too close. Where I grew up is too small. I see it whenever I come home.
