Vince McMahon has run the WWE for decades, it isn't a surprise to anyone that WWE has missed the mark on black talent, they've missed the mark on most everything with Vince McMahon at the helm.

AEW has the same resources WWE does, I'm going to hold them to the same standard.

They came in on the announcement that they were going to change the universe, that they would be the alternative.

I shouldn't hold them to a standard because it's been a year? Private Party and Pineapple Pete?

I shouldn't push them to sign more black talent?

Kofi rode a wave of momentum to the WWE Championship on the noise made by black fans. What's wrong with directing that same energy at AEW?

I'd get it if we weren't critical of WWE but we are.

You want to give AEW a grace period? For how long?
same resources? how many properties does wwe own compared to aew? how many partnerships does wwe have compared to aew? how much more is wwe worth than aew? how much more money does wwe have than aew? wwe was hoarding talent from aew just a few weeks ago.

aew is a alternative for talent and when it comes to certain things fans too imo.

aew has creative freedom private party came into aew with that gimmick that isn’t a tony khan special, who comes up with all the characters and personalities for wwe? pineapple pete took something jericho said and ran with it which he probably thought could help him on the indie scene his shirt has 0 aew branding. let’s compare a character which can be seen as caribbean to a character of a clown which is r truth.

who has a problem with you wanting more black talent signed?

once again, i’m not giving credit to wwe for something that should’ve happened long ago and only did happen because of circumstance. imo r truth should’ve beat cena at capital punishment. there’s nothing wrong with wanting aew to have a similar storyline, but wouldn’t you want that to actually be in the plans and genuine rather than “give him title just because then we’re going to squash him just because”.

as far as giving aew a grace period, well how long did we give wwe? going off our posts one might say wwe has a grace period at this very moment. give me that answer and let’s do the same for aew then since you’re holding them to the same standard

AEW is run by a billionaire's son. They have 57 men's wrestlers - I counted. Only 4 are black men - that wasn't hard to count. 4 is not enough.

And I don't even know if Sunny Kiss identifies as a male.

AEW was founded by 5 Millenials Tony Khan, Cody, Omega, and The Bucks.

Why wasn't black representation baked into the inception of the company?

I'm not giving them a grace period, they know better. They should at least be where WWE is at now.

We can't play ball if one side can't field a team.

khan’s money doesn’t equal to aew as a business money

we’re not going off black alone anymore they have to be men now? how many black wrestlers are on the roster right now?

don’t know if any of the 5 millenials actually sign talent rather than bring them to tony khan. cody made it clear on a public platform he was interested in chris bey, next thing you know tna signs him. signing talent isn’t as easy as “here sign this” they have to actually want to sign.

why wasn't black representation baked into the inception of the company? brandi rhodes is a chief brand officer

wwe should know better, decades in still booking our people like trash to the point where it’s cool to put aew on the same level with much less time, experience, capital and knowledge of the game. we’re just going to have to agree to disagree. have a nice evening breh :handshake:

- The numbers don't improve much when you add in the women. 3 black women out of 18 female wrestlers. So 7 out of 75 wrestlers.

- There isn't a lack of black wrestlers out there. There's more than ever before. It wasn't Chris Bey or nothing.

- One position of Chief Brand Officer isn't equitable representation being baked into the inception of the company. OWE was there from the start however.

- Okay we've established that WWE books our people like trash. Let's use AEW to improve that in both companies.

Enjoy your evening as well, I hope you give our discussion some real thought in the meantime. :handshake:
