That's been out for a full year now, anyone who wants to see it and form their opinion already has.
I formed mine and it is that I still see AEW as sorely lacking black talent, and "the best wrestlers" sounds like a cop out.
I suspect they have some blind spots despite Cody Rhodes' interracial marriage.
It's also interesting to me that it took Mark Henry, a WWE employee, being there to even have that discussion.
hopefully sooner or later they sign enough to get your sign of approval. if they do, hopefully they don’t book them as jokes and a clown fest. you can have all the black talent in the world but if you book them as jokes should you have signed them at all? I do want my people to get paid tho so idk

You don't get it, I'm trying to take advantage of competition between two companies. The same as anyone else does.
Money, Booking, Characters, Championships.
The thing is AEW has to actually care to sign black talent and care to cultivate a black audience for there to be leverage.
R-Truth is a problem to be sure but make no mistake this is the best black wrestling has ever been.
It's not perfect but it's moving along, just think if AEW joined in.
There's plenty of black talent out there, go tell AEW to sign some.

banks just had her first singles victory since november 8th 2019, both teams you posted are comedy teams just like r truth is a comedy wrestler.i agree with pretty much everything tho, aew is needed to push competition and leverage for talent. wwe being the biggest wrestling company ever should be held to a higher standard, they had DECADES to get this done but still have problems doing so. them being even remotely compared to a company 1 year in when it comes to this matter is hilarious

Vince McMahon has run the WWE for decades, it isn't a surprise to anyone that WWE has missed the mark on black talent, they've missed the mark on most everything with Vince McMahon at the helm.
AEW has the same resources WWE does, I'm going to hold them to the same standard.
They came in on the announcement that they were going to change the universe, that they would be the alternative.
I shouldn't hold them to a standard because it's been a year? Private Party and Pineapple Pete?

Kofi rode a wave of momentum to the WWE Championship on the noise made by black fans. What's wrong with directing that same energy at AEW?

AEW won't make it if that's the case because believe it or not WWE is ahead of them on this issue. Despite Vince's worst efforts.
