Correct. This is a largely brain dead country with like 40% of the population unable to read past like a 4th grade level. Apathy and ignorance are by design and are the building blocks to fascism. It’s why I dislike both siders so much. They think they have it all figured out and are telling people who actually take the time to look deeply into politics something when they point out that the Democratic Party is heavily flawed. However in this present time the alternative is out and proud white supremacists who are telling you what they’ll do if they get into power. An administration that will give power to Stephen Miller types who directly want to implement policies to hurt black people. And on and on. They seem to have no concept of:
A. It is a binary choice in politics in this country and it is actually possible for 1 of the two parties to be legions worse and more dangerous than the other.
B. If fascists take power, things will become many degrees worse for the average person and ESPECIALLY black people. All the anti woke anti CRT anti DEI rhetoric is primarily about their hatred of black people. They mean to roll back the clock as far as they can. They fear the changing demographics of the country and racists whites will go scorched Earth rather than allow attempts at equality.
And many celebrities and elites as in the lead up to the Third Reich will acquiesce to fascism if it’s between that and perceived threats to their wealth.
It doesn’t matter if the Rock says he’s not endorsing anyone. If he’s not taking a firm stance against Trump he’s a willing enabler of fascists. Period.
