Imagine the behind the scenes off record reminiscing between Bret and Rock talking shyt about HHHBK and their dirty scheming ways back in the day :wow:

I bet money that Rock would have Brett dying as he tells him about how Vince, Austin, and the fans chose HIM over Triple H in 98-99 despite Haitch's best efforts. :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Man was attached to DX, The DX Army, The Corporation, The Corporate Ministry, etc. over an 18 month period and was still far behind The Rock in numbers.

This makes Emily Blunt look superficial. Even if wasn't about someone important, to all Wrestling fans, it was someone that the Rock admired and wanted to talk about. Cept Emily was like 'Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.' which was disrespectful I think.
I mean, she doesn’t care. Why should she really? Thats also probably like their 30th interview that day.

Not everyone is as nice as The Rock, he’s genuinely a good guy.

Naturally, but for me it just gives off bad first impressions. You have the Rock, complimentary to the interviewer and explaining with passion about how thankful he was. While with Emily, it just gives me someone you just work with and don't want to know anything else after the film is wrapped up.

1000% agree with you, like at the bare minimum she could of done a better job pretending to care (especially since shes an actress after all!)

she comes from a whole different world, and I don’t think she had the capability to comprehend in the first place.

What's the story on this?

The story goes that in the months leading up to WMXV, There were a number of veteran Upper Mid Carders & Main Eventers (They never came out and said who the loudest voice was, but gave enough inference clues with mentioning that they've clashed with The Rock several times before for you to pick up who it is) who didn't want him in the Main Event slot and wanted to stop that altogether. Partly because The Rock, despite his instinctive grip on the business and all the ends & angles within it, was only 2 years in and still relatively young. Another part was jealousy and spite.

Vince made it clear he wanted Rock in that spot, and The Fans made it clear THEY wanted him in that spot. But it came down to whether Austin wanted him there. I don't remember the specific wording Austin used, but he came down to The Rock's locker room after hearing the complaints and basically told him "I want YOU as my partner at WrestleMania. Let's go break records."

I still think yall overrate it being HHH. Maybe Michaels with HHH having some small part due to the Kilq and all but if HHH was trying to hold Rock back like that Rock wouldn't be so complimentary to HHH as he is now and then turn around and allude to him as an "a$$hole".

I don't think Rock views HHH as spiteful or as angrily about his pre-push as yall think.

I'm lost. Where did she seem that superficial?

Was she suppose to cry or grab her heart?

I'm sure she didn't care 100% or wasn't fully THAT into the story but to say it was superficial or she gave 0 fukks is wrong to me. She looked like she was listening to her friend recollect a story and though she has no history or passion about wrestling, at least listened and engaged. She wasn't suppose to then ask him to give her a lifetime historical account of Bret Hart or anything.

The Rock has definitely criticized Cripple H before..on a old ESPN show in 2002 Unscripted, he basically brought him and said how he was jealous of him. Lol. He's worth hundreds of millions now and does appreciate what his rivalry Cripple H meant for like 2000 but he holds the Austin feud as one of a kind above anything.
