Only one man can bring that kind of excitement back

They could get God himself in the writers room, but as long as Vince is in charge and/or there's zero competition and/or they keep making a profit every year; nothing will ever change.

HEAD HAD A CONTRACT WITH TIME-WARNER, BROTHER!It's like when you eventually bag that 10 /10 looking girl only to find out she don't like sucking dikk and only likes sex once every 6 months in missionary.
The decline started after the staredown before the match because nothing could possibly live up to that moment:

"The time is upon us, Paul."
"The time is NOW. It's the match that both men need to win, and neither man can afford to lose."
Commentary like this went a long way in making Austin/Rock II seem like the biggest match ever to happen. You know how Cole always says, "The most anticipated match in the history of WrestleMania" or something like that? This HAS to be it.
WWE needs to go back to the gritty presentation. You can tell there is a glaring difference in the product by listening to the theme songs of this year's Mania to that year's.
This 100%. It's ppvs in general. All the songs are just so soft, safe, and tame, but that seems to have translated to the product as a whole. Even the intro to both shows. It's better than the previous ones, but that's not saying much.
Which themes make you feel like you're about to go into a chaos-filled battle, and which makes you feel like you're about to go meet a co-worker for a Denny's brunch??
I'm so glad Lawler quit over The Kat, Heyman and JR were great together."The time is upon us, Paul."
