Heard? A WHOLE MOVEMENT that led to death, chaos, and mayhem and honorable iconic life changers who lost their lives in the struggle..particularly in the 60s when it was a fight for EVERY right Blacks enjoy today to get to this point. He's not that naïve, man

I was speaking about more recent events. Idk how far that news travelled. For all i know he could have thought it was better than it was 50 years ago :yeshrug:

Yeah all that shyt is just (and has been for centuries) disgusting. At least over here it seems our government just want to fukk everyone over instead of focusing on minorities, though the differences in policing are probably massive reasons for that in the current climate

Discrimination goes both ways though; you get some mixed cats over here thinking they're above people with two black parents and you got "two black parents" cats thinking they're above dudes with mixed parents
Yeah that happens here too but its mostly in jokes. My brother is light skinned (or high yella, piss colored as i lovingly call him) and we make jokes all the time.
Not for me.

I should clarify that my initialy not considering him to be a Black champion is in terms of the IMAGE they portrayed to the wrestling fans...(I do consider him to be a Black person in real life, in so much as we claim mixed people)...like WWE never acknowledged him (until they had to defend their stance on race) to be the first Black champ. The average non-black WWE fan probably doesn't consider the Rock to be Black.

Of course one could also ague that it shouldn't be necessary for WWE to point out the racial elements of their champions.

Yes but if not a stereotype does ANY character have a paticular race?

Do you mean Rocky or Samoans in general? ecause I guarantee you if you called a native Samoan black he'd probably try and bite your nose off :russ:

It's bigger than that my man, I am Samoan and we have an understanding about the situation, we have many black folks who have intermarried with samoans. How many Samoans do you know?

wait there you live in fukking London, get the fukk out of here..

I've been around Samoan dudes my whole life man, none of them consider themselves black whatsoever

But it's cool, you got more knowledge on this than I do, all I can do is say it from my experiences

how i saw it, WWE pushed his Samoan side more. But at the end of the day he's still black

But Us Samoans will always have universal love for Rock, David Tua and Mark Hunt

if black people with a white parent are at times considered part of black culture [BARACK OBAMA], there is no reason why we should reject one who has a samoan parent.

secondly

I want zero NON-BLACK AMERICAN people to reply to this, AT ALL.

I guess I'll refrain from saying that I consider The Rock black then. :manny:

People only say that so they have a reason to complain WWE has not had a black WWE Champion, when in reality, they have.. The Rock is black and you can't deny that, it's a fact.

The Rock is part black and no-one should say otherwise. However he is not fully black of course, and the question is would they have given him the title if he was fully black? Also his Samoan heritage may have played an important role in him getting the title, they were very respected. So he's not a fully black champion, of course, it goes without saying, but of course he's partially black....

According to Ahmed Johnson Rock tried to pass himself off as having no black in him to Triple H and them....

Just saying....
