People hate this guy for a variety of reasons..they always hype up Booker's accomplishments to no end and act like he's some more "realer version" of Black or whatever the tribe is. I've seen Booker T c00n how many times now? Guy isn't the definition of greatness in the business..the Rock is though. And he wouldn't be as successful as he is if he didn't want it more than a Booker T or a Simmons or a Ernie Ladd. They were content with him just being a pushed top villain for Austin at WM 15 and that being it. When it got out of hand, and he got the highest rated segments by a mile and his merchandise turned into a Juggernaut because he was the BEST PERFORMER in the industry during the "I'm a Game" vs Austin push the summer of 99, that proved his immortality. And he came up in the WWE off of the "being Black" angle..they had his father as his back up at WM 13. But he was above all of that type of booking in no time. He's Black..he's the best Black performer ever and we won't see anything like him ever again.

When those white boys went at Mark Henry with that gorilla shyt, who was the first motherfukker to stand up? It was the Rock. And his star was on fire at the time. So all of you confused mixed guys on here that a got a problem with this guy being a YOUNG icon and a part of American fascination and culture, suck your father's d1ck, you shaky ass bytches.

Yeah all that shyt is just (and has been for centuries) disgusting. At least over here it seems our government just want to fukk everyone over instead of focusing on minorities, though the differences in policing are probably massive reasons for that in the current climate

Discrimination goes both ways though; you get some mixed cats over here thinking they're above people with two black parents and you got "two black parents" cats thinking they're above dudes with mixed parents

I should clarify that my initialy not considering him to be a Black champion is in terms of the IMAGE they portrayed to the wrestling fans...(I do consider him to be a Black person in real life, in so much as we claim mixed people)...like WWE never acknowledged him (until they had to defend their stance on race) to be the first Black champ. The average non-black WWE fan probably doesn't consider the Rock to be Black.

Of course one could also ague that it shouldn't be necessary for WWE to point out the racial elements of their champions.

He was raised with his samoan heritage, plus his father rocky was heavily involved with the samoan movement. But they are all part of the black family..

There's racism towards dark-skinned/Black ppl in most countries around the world.

But I don't think it's comparable anywhere else to the HISTORY we've had with it in America. Especially considering the super power status of America.

I doubt it unless you're thinking of his toddler fanbase. Because he's mentioned being Half Black and Samoan several times.
