Yeah people be stealing in those self checkout lines
Gonna need more cameras and more security, just to keep people from stealing. Alot of ruined business days chasing people into the parking lots. All this to not have to pay a minimum wage worker.

All service?

Easy to do when your food is expensive as fukk and caters to hipster fakkits.

Nah more like 60/40 split cashier/self service

I always hit the self service with the scan as you shop, much quicker than cashiers

This is actually a perfect example of the minimum wage causing unemployment. If we had no minimum wage, Panera could pay some workers 3 dollars an hour to do what the machine does. It's simple economics. If only we used our heads and just let the market take care of it.

Each machine costs more than the salary of one worker for a year granted an employee makes around 25k. So for a business there is substantial savings in a lot of areas.

:manny:

I think the machines will cause more problems than fix them. Honestly there are a lot of variable and they tend to have a lot of issues.

Friend, I'm on your side :mjlol:

For instance anyone who bought a point of sale system that runs windows xp or whatever other hardware is getting phased out will have to replace them all now for around 25-50k per machine. Yeah it's a write off but you've still got to come up with that bread(no pun intended, well maybe...).

You'll also have issues with the network and internet fairly frequently. So then what happens? You can't take orders, you close?

Also how do you deal with cash or are you no longer accepting cash? You're going trust customers in the till? In the hood? Everywhere isn't Martha's Vineyard. Nor is it Canada.

It gets pretty chaotic. Oh and you better pray there isn't a power outage.

I wouldn't want a customer touching one, G-d knows things break. Especially when you're throwing thousands of random idiots at them everyday.

And if they change their minds? Oh dear....friend.
