To most people the difference wont be noticable if they aren't looking at them side by side. If theres a big difference between load times and other things they talk about, then that would impress the average person more than a slightly higher screen resolution. But that's only if theres a noticeable difference.

I think the bigger issue is not making the entire digital library between all systems playable enhanced. That would impress the general public more than some boring ass spec spreadsheet.

That would have been bigger than BC on xbox because sony has the better catalog.

Nobody but fanboys would have gave a shyt about 2 teraflops if they were more consumer friendly in their approach.

I feel like he hardcore consumer a lot of the time will set the standard. First adopter hype goes a long way Sony being cheaper AND stronger, combined with MS fumbling their launch went a long way towards the sales success that is the PS4.
This time tho, they are coming out the gate likely cheaper BUT a higher percentage weaker than the competition, AND MS hasn’t fumbled their messaging at all like they did launching last gen.
We will see how the BC shyt shakes out.
NVMe SSD are very expensive comparatively so I am not really all that excited about paying 200 bucks and going back to 2TB storage.

No matter what Sony will still have Xbox beat worldwide. But Microsoft is going to give Sony that work in North America. They got the power they got gamepass and if they got a good price point it's a wrap. I'm usually a Sony Stan but I'll admit its time for Sony to get humbled with the shyt they been doing lately.

I didnt mean lost in general. But from a pre-launch perspective they might have lost the messaging battle this time around. "Reveal" wasnt well received, we still dont know what the box looks like and have seen no game snippets. Meanwhile MS got game snippets, specs AND actual console breakdown as of months ago.

Be realistic for a minute. PS4 sold over 100 million at 399 launch. Why would they go away from that? That seems fukking dumb. This is going to be the best 399 that you can spend on a console. It was just Microsoft not only went above the 399 threshold but also looks like they will lose money to get to 499. There are two different deltas being targeted here. That's always been my point and I expect it to be fully realized today.

Anyway, looks like it's true. Cerny tried to do that "blast processing" spin to claim 10 TF instead of 9, but it's clear MS has the better HW this go round. The SSD tech sounds cool, but I don't see how much of a tangible difference it will make in game. If MS was still on HDD, this would be a megaton, but nah. As an IT guy and nerd, I cracked up at him Juelzing the TF/CU/clock speed numbers to try to not look weak
