Sony has to be smart about what they do. Fact of the matter is that if Microsoft buys Activision Blizzard and it doesn't pan out the company generates such massive profits that it's not going to greatly impact them. In 2-3 years the money this cost them will be replenished and back sitting on the balance sheet. Hell it was just money they had sitting around anyway as this was an all cash purchase.

This was a low risk high reward purchase. If Sony buys EA and it doesn't work it could greatly damage the company.

Regardless of where anyone stans, Sony does not rush to do shyt. Their current CEO is also the former CFO and a huge number cruncher. So they will play whatever cards they already had in their hands. I also don't see them acquiring anyone. If anything I can see them making deals with Square Enix, and if they are smart Konami, for exclusives. Non gaming related, it wasn't too long ago when their cameras were a joke. They're now part of the big three, but that came with time. So they will take their time and be smart.
