Gaetz is in the House of Repsenatives though. Besides Trump, has there ever been a POTUS that wasn't a former U.S. Senator, State Governor, or VPOTUS?
Lincoln is the obvious one. He had only served as a US rep for a couple terms. and hadn't been in office in years.

Also Madison (SecState, US Rep), Taylor (general), Grant (general), Garfield (US Rep, general), Taft (SecWar, territory governor), Hoover (SecCommerce), and Eisenhower (general).

This is fukking Ohio too, a swing state with plenty of Black folk. It's gotta be embarrassing to the TLR "both sides" crowd when they care more about keeping Black folk from voting Democrat than the actual Republican leaders do. :francis:
