I don't think you understand how gully Biden is. Don't let that debate with Palin fool you. Try googling some videos of him telling people off. He didnt go in on Palin because he didn't want to appear as if he were picking on the mentally retarded. He won't have that problem with Ryan. You are going to get vintage smug condescending Biden. Probably the only debate i will tune in to see for that reason. He's getting it in.
What I've come to realize is that the average voter (well a majority of voters) are ignorant, and don't do their own research. Their opinions are based on tidbits that they hear from political pundits depending on what station you watch. People are worried about things they haven't even taken the time to understand (The Deficit, The Country's Credit Rating, etc.)
We need to understand what things the president is actually responsible for, what decisions he has made, and what is actually in his control.

BTW, I know someone brought up Herman Cain's appearance on the Daily Show. I watched the interview in it's entirety and Jon ate Cain's lunch on the welfare lie that Republican's have been trying to push.

I mean I dont reject it fully. That is the thing about America. If you work hard, plan your future, you can get ahead. Now, does the American Dream mean that everyone from dirt poverty can become a millionaire? No, that's impossible. And I hate that the GOP abuses it in this way to justify letting income distributions stay the way they are. Its a cop out. "Look at (insert self made billionaire here), why cant you do that"? The American Dream should not be about telling people to shut up and pull up their bootstraps, it should be about creating an environment with as much possibility for upward mobility as we can.

What is your evidence of this? You can't read how excited the "base" is on TV. The fact is that each base is gonna come out and vote for their candidate. But the base don't win elections. The independents are what decide this election. And there's a reason Romney is desperate to get a higher percentage of the Latino vote/women vote. Because being the party of old white men isn't gonna get it done. Just like it didn't get it done in 2008 for McCain.
