On a personal, I remember when my family moved from NYC to Houston. Just like most New Yorkers mom could not shut up about New York, and how backwards Texas was. Education, lack of pubic transportation, socially backwards, fat, wasteful and slothful.
Wouldn't you know it this summer she went back to New York to see some family and then she realized she'd become a Texan.
She couldn't handle New York anymore. Have to take the train every where, the noise, the weed smell..

I'm a capitalist I don't think debilitating taxes are beneficial BUT I am not for the poorest people getting cheated cac.

Those people will eventually pack up and leave if the MAGA virus is in their patients. They're some of the worst kind of people to treat because they think that they know better than the doctor they're there to see. They get mad when the doctor tries to prescribe things that will prevent illness instead of just telling them there's a single thing they can do that will "fix" their diabetes. They watch fox news and listen to Alex Jones and think that they should have the highly risky meds advertised between episodes of their favorite talking head.
And that's ignoring the blatant racism these cacs have.

I've sometimes seen people suggest that anyone concerned about moving to a red state while not liking their policies can just move to a "blue" city in a red state.
But this article is a perfect example of the flaw with this thinking. Cities/towns/local governments in general are ultimately subject to the whims of the state they are a part of and that should be kept in mind when considering an out of state move.
Keep wealthy cac neighborhoods schools, roads, and police funded and leave the black people to suffer. But that's going to die because most of these states the insurance is so high
if dudes have a problem with nevada, an affordable blue state with no income tax/low property tax, i simply asked where in the country is supposedly so much better. all ive gotten is crickets

Most serious shortcomings in America (education, health care, wealth inequality, runaway corporate mafeance) are directly tied to it being more libertarian than other major countries. There's a reason why literally no country goes for real libertarianism.

And then we were still "very libertarian" until 1930, when the three most libertarian presidents of the 20th century (Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover) ushered in the Great Depression (not to mention that was the midst of rampant segregation, rampant child labor, horrific factory conditions, zero safety standards for work or for our food, no social safety net, horrible prison and mental hospital conditions, old people dying destitute).

Makes sense. I also heard that a lot of women are leaving red states, too, because of their reproductive rights. Real Estate agents are pissed that a lot of high income earning young people are flocking away and forced to lower priced.
