Cannot stand the Boston accent but I liked the pilot...

Jon Voight's character is straight comedy...That plane scene had me dying when dude gave ol girl the :youngsabo: while she was titty feeding her kid...

Shaky start.

- A professional fixer that can't fix his own life? Showtime already has a show like that in House of Lies.
- Hope they give dude from The Game a storyline other than being the b*stard child.
- Ray's wife might have the worst Boston accent ever. She sounds like a Southie doing her best Carmela Soprano impression.
- Other than the wife the cast is terrific. Voight in particular.

I'll keep watching, only because there's no other shows to watch between now and hatewatching The Newsroom. I'd give the pilot a 6/10.

Not too sure where the show is headed. They're in Hollywood, so they're some comedic shyt especially that Jew cat who's wife died and the typical Hollywood characters. But then there's the dark side of the show, which is Ray's past. They're trying to mix both sides and I don't think the first episode was all that successful. It was all over the place IMO.

i thought the EXACT same thing, i found that unoriginal as hell. and well-i never liked carmella in the first place so i have some bias already.

voight on the plane :heh:

ray tho, he's got a real monotone personality. he reminded me a lot of leon the professional w/his seemingly awkward personal skills.

definitely potential, let's see how this turns out

yeah I pretty much feel the same way. I'm gonna keep watching because nothing else I watch is running right now including the NBA season. :to:
I see the potential, but it was all over the place. Ok I get it, Ray has demons. Apparently a lot tho. How many flashbacks did they have with Ray struggling with his demons? Too many for me. I mean they coulda built some of this shyt up over the course of the season, but they let us know in ep 1 without being specific....that Ray's dealing with a lot of shyt! And not just him, all his brothers, father, wife, kids, business partners, and clients all have demons they are struggling with. And I guess we will find the root of each slow motion flashback over the course of the season. :manny: Kinda feels like they are trying a bit too hard. Tony Soprano, Nucky, Avon, or Stringer didnt need all the hokey flashbacks in episode 1 to build interest. I'm just sayin...

Out here in my damn drawls
I just came off of marathoning the entire series of Entourage so I'm really tired of the hollywood-y / California setting right now, but I kind of liked the start of this show.
