Point of thread is highlighting
both rap songs that had a rock sound
and actual bands that had a rap/rock vibe in that 1995 - 2005 era...but also in general.
Like I said Rick Rubin produced Def Jam's first hits with LL Cool J and Run DMC, which had hard hitting electric guitar soundscapes, then he went on to produce for the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers who also had a hip hop beat element in a lot of their music.
