It's one thing when guys and gals aren't getting tv time, it's another when their injured and no official news on said wrestler's recovery or return (See Cody The American Nightmare Rhodes for an example on how when what he's been doing and WWE as well informing the WWE universe what's going on)

How come Khan didn't pull the trigger on Orange Cassidy...he sold merch, over with the fans, as y'all like to use the over used term "can go in the ring" and clips of his matches are in the top five of most viewed in the history of Aew videos on YouTube (not even a punk return or punk match is number 1 or number 2) hell I remember even TLR side of this site made a thread about him...The Locker room

Mercedes is injured. Can’t remember what it is.

OC is tough. He’s not really world champion type wrestler, he could be a high quality midcard guy though. I could see him getting a run with the Atlantic or TNT title. I think the comedy side of his gimmick holds him back though. His either inability or unwillingness to cut any meaningful promo also holds him back.

He's been in the mix for a shot at competing for a belt whether the top belt or mid card, hell the best friends lost in the trios tournament and still got a shot last night at trios Gold...

Me personally I would have made him at least like you said a TNT champion by now, he was in "feuds" with Jericho, had a banger with Omega and Pac, stood toe to toe with TNT champion Wardlow (longer than anyone perhaps) feuds with Cole etc

His physique is what it is, I think what a lot a people don't realize, but Orange Cassidy "comedy style" is actually a....Heel which people haven't pointed out, not even Cornette.

When you actually sit down and watch old school (some new school) wrestling, you'll perhaps understand that he's actually a heel, but the fans love him...


How many baby faces are from wherever, and weighing whatever lol that's classic heel. He never smiles (during matches or coming down to the ring with fans), doesn't want to give any effort and always has an excuse (hands in his pocket if he loses )

His gimmick just isn't going to work as a heel, it's far too over for that and he pretty regularly interacts with the fans, which isn't very heel like. Only way I can really see his gimmick getting over as a heel is if he starts cheating a lot against other babyfaces and he starts cutting heel promos. But he isn't a promo guy, at least not what he has shown so far, so they probably need to pair him with a manager or another wrestler who can cut heel promos.

But that's the thing which I still don't understand in Aew, they're not kafyfbe at all, from Jericho entrance music (I know Khan doesn't want him to change it which is dumb) to low level guys with fans...none of the heels should be doing meet and greets, and store signings etc (looking at you Vlog crew founder Sammy Guevara) and his (Cassidy) interaction is bare minimum, lol he doesn't even wanna dap his team

Exactly,. Khan should have pushed him as a heel from the start but he didn't. Him "not being good at promos" is exactly why he's a heel. His style works for HIM, he doesn't care to cut a promo, and when he does(like the debate against Jericho) it was gold.

Hell, Danielson cuts heel promos all the time in Aew lol but wrestle as a baby face. Which works for Danielson (imagine a baby face telling you he gone kick your fukking head in lol)

Also, their are many tactics of being a heel, cheating is just one of many. Giving how he is (removing a "foreign object from his pocket) lol that is technically heel stuff

It's something how the culture has changed, seems like all women wrestler's in Aew are bottom heavy with the exception of Penelope Ford and Abandon who are more top heavy

Shida, Baker, Velvet, Bunny, Riho, Julia, Rayne, Deeb (damned near cancerous looking), Soho and PVZ say the ladies aren't as phat as you think.
