Raging Phoenix is a horrible, horrible movie though. You know you're reaching for 'suspense' when you have a comatose chick laying on a shaky hanging bridge and every time the fighters kick or jump, the bridge shakes so much she gets closer to falling off the edge.

Also, the plot was some shyt about collecting the rejuvenating tears of certain young people, and at one point they track their kidnapped friend because one of them can smell her tears in the air. JeeJa was the only good thing about that whole garbage movie.

Killzone had 2 memorable scenes also, movie wasn't as great as the others but those fight scenes where :ohlawd:

But what I'm really hyped for is that new Tony Jaa flick "The Protector 2"

That chick JeeJa Yanin is in it, same broad from Chocolate and Raging Phoenix, shortay is the female version of Bruce Lee. I'd love to see her blow up like Donny Yen did. She deserves it and puts in work...

I haven't seen Raging Phoenix yet but I did see Chocolate. :russ: That movie was crazy creative and I had to pause that shyt when she fought dude with tourettes syndrome, that fight scene had me:dead:

I can barely remember the fight scenes, but I know damn well they weren't on the level of Ip Man, Tom Yum Goong, The Raid or Chocolate. Hell, even The Kick had better fight scenes with JeeJa in it and she's mad underused in that movie.

And why the fukk do people always bring up 'Oscar expectations', like there isn't a huge difference between a simple plotted no-bullshyt movie like The Raid, and the incredible stupidity of the Raging Phoenix plot.

Ong Bak 2 and 3 had great action scenes too, but that didn't stop those movies from being utterly wack because everything in between them was too embarrassing for words.

This scene cray :ohlawd:

Raging Phoenix: Final Fight - YouTube

edit:

just googled that sh1t and they said RZA is gonna be in it too

The RZA joins Tony Jaa in Tom Yum Goong 2 - FLIXIST

:ohhh:

That fight was strait but I'd be lying if that part when she gets kicked in the chest like 4 times the same way didn't look ridiculous, the editing sucked you could see shots where they were fumbling around trying to stick to the script. But other than that scene got me wanting to fukk that jeeja chick (altho it looks like shed have me tappin out in bed tho)

The Raid Redemption is king IMO. Simple script and amazing fight scenes. I know about the Ip Man fight scene but thats about the only good one in the movie. Meanwhile RR has about 3 classic scenes. Bow Down to Mad Dog
Dont click if you havent seen the movie
I wont even post the final fight scene

they're both action movies to me.

and as far as action goes.. not too much is fukking with raid redemption.

the change from gunplay to hands was dope.

they could have gotten rid of the backstory with the pregnant wife and it would have made no difference. i didn't really give a fukk about the main character.

mad dog should have won :ohlawd:

Disgusting how Judge Dredd bit this movie so hard.

:whoa: Judge Dredd was in production before The Raid though.

I've said this several times now. If we're gonna accuse Dredd 3D for biting we should accuse The Raid as well because both dem shyts had a recycled Die Hard plot. A LOT of action movies have been using the Die Hard formula.

I remember in the original trailers she was watching the big boss, does that print still even exist?
