YES. it's easier for a 5'7 defender to guard a 6'2 ball handler. U move your feet and watch the torso to stay with your assighment. I'm 5'11 and I could guard 6'2" pgs easier than 5'6 guards off the dribble. Do you think anyone 7 inches taller than Gary Payton would dribble on him in his prime?

Gary Payton is one of the best defenders of all time. Is HVL an elite defender?

I believe Catlin is 6'0 feet. Anyways look back at Tony Allen who is 6'4 and Kevin Durant who is 6'11. Most likely the best individual defense being played on a pre-injury KD by a guy seven inches shorter. HVL is just not a defensive player. She is an offensive minded player, who looks out of place because LSU's system is not factored around her like it was in Louisville.

Yeah, TA was an elite defender with some strength.

Like you said, if HVL isn't a defender, she's not going to be able to use any advantage she might have as a shorter defender.
