Yo, I have ZERO dog in this fight, and don't call myself a fan of either chick, but:

She just looks like the evil jealous villian in this whole situation, especially with the timing.

Basically. Nicki mad arrogant, lol...and you can tell she knew she messed up by saying that line about girls wanting to be on a song with her. She tried to back track it, but it was too late because it was already out there and she realized it. :pachaha:

Here's the thing...what these chicks are fighting over is PETTY. When - deep within the recesses of their own egos, and after they've stopped listening to the "yes men" around them - are they gonna realize and say to one another: "...you know what, bytch? If we did a FIRE JOINT ALBUM - yunno, like Future and Drake attempted to do :sas2: - and a subsequent tour, we would take ALL the rap money to be had..."

They need to team up. They would own rap in its present cycle.

Nicki got ego issues. She not telling the full story with Cardi because she did diss her on the song.

Also her voice sounds a lil like that character Donald Glover played named Teddy in last week's episode of Atlanta lol.
Also let’s not forget when cardi said a female rapper dissed her In person at bet last year.

And Nicki talking about how Trina showed her love and wanted her on the album. Correct me if imma wrong but did Nicki put any new up and coming rap chicks on her albums? And didn’t cash money want the shanel broad singing hooks on Nicki first album and Nicki said no?

If them songs Nicki dropped last year woulda popped she wouldn’t be sitting up talking about cardi b.

Nicki Minaj just gave a wide-ranging interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe in front of what we assume will soon be her fourth album.

In the chat, she discussed her ex Meek Mill's legal situation, including his judge Genece Brinkley, who gave Meek two to four years for probation violations. Nicki went out of her way to defend the judge's actions when Lowe brought up the controversy surrounding her.

"The judge in question did everything asked of her," Minaj said. "So I can’t badmouth her because I met her personally. I know what she said to us, he knows that and I know that. But I wouldn't wish jail on anybody."

Not yet, but it's coming. Cardi's ability to play up her Latin roots and dip in and out the Latin music scene is HUGE, that's a huge market that pushes songs up the charts. If she has success crossing back and forth between Latin pop/"urban" and hip hop, that would easily put her in the same position Nicki was in when she was dipping in and out the pop/EDM scene.

Thing is, Latinos are way more loyal to their stars, their artists have longevity even when the mainstream market has moved on (Daddy Yankee anyone!), white fans aint the same. Those white girls who hopped on the barbie wave when Nicki was fukkin with Calvin Harris are grown, have moved on, and likely will not be buying a Nicki rap album.
It’s not blind loyalty. Those Latino ‘urban’ artists who have managed to still have clout like Daddy Yankee have evolved with the genre and times and are open to collaborating with the youth and working their style into the new sound. That has been the most crucial tool in their current success. The artists who refuse to adapt and criticize the current movement have been left behind (Don Omar). Latin trap is an incredible mix of veterans and newbies constantly collaborating on tracks.

But re: Cardis success, I think people overlook the most important part which is her personality. The same reason people hate her (unfiltered and hood) is the same reason people love her.

That’s what got her a million followers BEFORE she was ever on TV.
That’s what got her on L&HH and that’s what kept people watching.
That’s half the reason why she’s successful, more than her music. No one would’ve paid attention to her mixtape if people didn’t fukk with Cardi herself.

Nicki cannot replicate Cardi’s level of raw hood originality. I know it sounds dumb but it’s true.
