but women pretty much ride for both right? interesting to see how this goes :jbhmm:
it will be. i was never hardcore nicki fan and don't follow cardi nor care for her music, but she seems to have the juice right now. it will be interesting to see how hard nicki's barbz roll after a few years off and a few industry/musical L's.

I heard most of the interview I think though I can't find the whole thing online. From what I gather Nicki is back focused but I feel she is being fake on the Cardi situation and is trying her best to win people over.

Anyone have a link to the full thing?

Also let’s not forget when cardi said a female rapper dissed her In person at bet last year.

And Nicki talking about how Trina showed her love and wanted her on the album. Correct me if imma wrong but did Nicki put any new up and coming rap chicks on her albums? And didn’t cash money want the shanel broad singing hooks on Nicki first album and Nicki said no?

If them songs Nicki dropped last year woulda popped she wouldn’t be sitting up talking about cardi b.

I agree, she is only talking about Cardi B and playing like she is sad because Cardi is popping but she's not genuine. She dissed Cardi on Motor Sport and even her saying how Cardi should have been grateful she was on the song with her shows how big her Ego is.

So hip hop can’t have Nicki and Cardi huh? It’s got to be some Highlander there can only be one shyt with these women huh? This shyt stupid as fukk... I am surprised that Nicki went with the beats she chose for the songs because they’re fukkin fire but the lyrics are just meh to me. How come Nicki can’t just make music and just be here while Cardi also does her thing?

No because neither of them are popular because of the music they put out

My Pops Forever RIP
I’ll say this about Remy though: BX love aside, Remy has too much shyt at her disposal to be lagging behind the way she is. She has a major record deal, Fat Joe’s ear for beats, connections to whoever, a compelling story, a temporary outlet on VH1 to showcase whatever she has, and it’s not latching on.

I won’t count Remy out, but All The Way Up is starting to feel like a last hurrah. Either she better have an undeniable solo banger on deck or she kills it on a popular song by someone else.

Nicki Minaj just gave a wide-ranging interview with Beats 1's Zane Lowe in front of what we assume will soon be her fourth album.

In the chat, she discussed her ex Meek Mill's legal situation, including his judge Genece Brinkley, who gave Meek two to four years for probation violations. Nicki went out of her way to defend the judge's actions when Lowe brought up the controversy surrounding her.

"The judge in question did everything asked of her," Minaj said. "So I can’t badmouth her because I met her personally. I know what she said to us, he knows that and I know that. But I wouldn't wish jail on anybody."

clown ass scorned thot :hhh:

which is why its so dope to see cardi basically take her spot

Remy wasn't big when she was "poppin" the first time around (04-08)....not sure why you think she's all of suddenly gonna be bigger 10 years later, she's part of the old guard – like lil kim era old...which aint a good look since even nicki is old in the game now.

Remy can probably find another hit single or two, but she never had the type of fanbase that could carry a career, especially not one in the lane Nicki had and Cardi seems poised to have.

And then, beyond the music, let's be real, her looks aren't as marketable :mjpls: - i.e. men aint as interested, wypipo aint either :yeshrug: She looks much better these days than she did back in the day, but it's not enough

i don't like either. i am happy she's rapping again, but they both are flawed. like i already posted, barbie tingz sounds like an off brand remake of her "itty bitty piggy" song, brought the flow back, but the beat is all wrong and sounds dated AF, it just didn't work.

chun-li is the same tired flow/slant she always uses with cringeworthy lines, like who didn't see a "chopstick in my bun" line coming :beli:

i think she has it in her to make good (or at least catchy) songs, but these aint it IMO...from an unbiased point of view, i'm not a nicki stan nor a hater.

remy career is like 15-16 years deep fam lol. She was never that big before she went in and her music based mainly around lyrics in a era where most don’t really give a fukk bout it
